West Virginia

Discover the rolling hills, beautiful mountains and quaint cities in West Virginia. Outdoor recreation is very popular, with hiking, backpacking, white water rafting, mountain biking, camping, skiing, hunting and fishing. West Virginia has some great trout fishing.

The climate here runs from 40 degrees to 83 degrees in the summer and can be a bit humid at times. It rains a lot here between April and September. There is good skiing in the winter months.

There is plenty of tourism attractions, especially where historic Civil War events took place. West Virginia was a pivotal state during that era.

Some of the favorite tourism attractions are Harpers Ferry National Park, The New River Bridge, Charleston and the National Radio Astronomy Observatory.
