Tour Itinerary
Days 1-2: Arrive in Cairo and transfer to your hotel.
Days 3-4: This morning, visit the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities where the world's greatest collection of Ancient Egyptian artifacts is displayed in more than 100 halls. Other highlights include a tour of Egypt's ancient capital, Memphis, and an excursion to the pyramids at Giza.
Day 5: Travel to Luxor where some of Egypt's greatest ancient treasures still stand. Visit the Temple of Karnak, a massive undertaking constructed over a period of a thousand years by 30 pharaohs. Then proceed to visit the strikingly graceful Temple of Luxor, dedicated to the God Amun. Transfer to Al Moudira hotel.
Day 6: Explore the tombs in the Valley of Kings, a vast city of the dead; the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, Egypt's first female pharaoh and the Temple of Medinet Habu. Drive to Esna to board your dahabieh, a twin-sailed Egyptian yacht.
Day 7: The less-visited site of El-Kab contains beautiful tombs and temples dedicated to the vulture goddess, Nekhbet. El-Kab was the capital of Upper Egypt in Pre-Dynastic and Early Dynastic times.
Day 8: Sail to Djebel Silsileh for an opportunity to see the carved reliefs and remains from the temple of Horemheb. Cut into the riverside rocks, this site dates back to the Middle Kingdom.
Day 9: Cruise to Farès to visit the temple of Ras-Ras. This evening enjoy a barbecue dinner on Maniha Island.
Day 10: Travel to Kom Ombo where you visit the Temple of Kom Ombo, dedicated to the crocodile-god Sobek. The temple stands at a bend in the Nile where in ancient times sacred crocodiles basked in the sun on the riverbank.
Day 11: Visit the majestic Temple of Philae, the Unfinished Obelisk and the High Dam, before flying to Abu Simbel to view the two temples built by Egypt's longest ruling Pharaoh, Ramses II. Return to Cairo where the rest of the Day is yours to relax.
Day 12: Board your onward flight. B = Breakfast, L = Lunch, D = Dinner
