7 Days Omo Valley: Cultures of Southern Ethiopia Vacation and Luxury Tour Package
Duration: 7 Days / 6 Nights Priced From: $3055 pp Dbl. Occ. Dates: Jan - Dec

The Omo Delta lives up to its reputation as of one of the last great tribal regions left in the world today. Some of the more notable are the Mursi tribe, renowned for the large clay discs that the women wear, inserted into their lower lips; the Hamar, whose women adorn themselves with elaborate braided hairstyles colored with red clay; and the Karo, whose people are highly decorated with scarification, as well as clay and other body paint.
Your exploration of the Omo is based at our private Lumale Tented Camp on the banks of the Omo River in a very remote location reached by a charter flight from Addis Ababa. The camp is simple but comfortable, and each tent has its own shower and toilet tent. Packed lunches are as good as the hearty breakfasts and delicious dinners.
Each day you will leave early in the morning and boat along the Omo River to visit the various tribal people. Our local partners have taken great care to research and develop relationships within each village we visit and to observe special courtesies important to each community. This is a rare opportunity to interact with these vanishing tribes, who welcome you with an extreme pride in their culture.
