From great migratory herds of the open savannah to an incredible abundance of bird life, Kenya offers the visitor a chance to experience a natural world unchanged by the passage of time. Your journey begins in Nairobi. Continue to Shompole, a luxury eco-tourism lodge in southwestern Kenya, set against the truly spectacular backdrop of the Great Rift Valley.

In Continue to either the Samburu or Shaba Reserves in arid northern Kenya, and on to Lake Naivasha with its abundant hippo population. Your final stop is the famed Masai Mara National Reserve. There is a choice of Superior or Deluxe accommodation throughout the safari.

Day 1

Arrive Nairobi. Time permitting, visit the Giraffe Center and Karen Blixen Museum, Karen Blixen Cottages or Ngong House.

Day 2

Fly to Shompole in the Great Rift Valley, where the local Masai community are part owners of this spectacular lodge. This afternoon embark on your first activity. Activities include game drives, walking, biking and visits to Lake Natron, Shompole or Little Shompole.

Day 3

Early morning and late afternoon activities at Shompole, Shompole or Little Shompole.

Day 4

Fly to Samburu or Shaba. This afternoon embark on a game viewing activity, Larsen's Camp or Joy's Camp.

Days 5-6

Early morning and late afternoon game drives on either the Samburu or Shaba Reserve and cultural visits to the neighboring Samburu communities, Larsen's Camp or Joy's Camp.

Day 7

Fly to Lake Naivasha with its abundant hippo population. This afternoon begin exploring the area on a game viewing activity, Loldia House or Hippo Point.

Day 8

Day trip to Lake Nakuru National Park, with its impressive flocks of flamingos and magnificent wildlife including hippos, buffalo, baboons and leopards. Return to Lake Naivasha for overnight,ÊLoldia House or Hippo Point.

Day 9

Fly to the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve and embark on an afternoon game viewing activity, Little Governor's Camp or Ol Seki Mara Camp or other luxury tented camp in the Mara.

Days 10-11

Early morning and late afternoon game drives in the Masai Mara. Early morning safari walks and hot air ballooning are other optional activities available (at an additional cost), Little Governor's Camp or Ol Seki Mara Camp or other luxury tented camp in the Mara.

Day 12

Fly to Nairobi and depart Kenya.
