Day 1. Nairobi. Upon arrival in Nairobi, you'll be met and assisted by Our representative Vintage Africa and transferred to your hotel.

Day 2. Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve. After breakfast, drive north via Nanyuki and Mt Kenya to the Samburu National Reserve. Rugged and remote, this wildlife reserve provides some the best and most colourful game viewing in the country. Lunch en route at The Trout - Tree Restaurant. Afternoon game drive en-route to the lodge.

Day 3. Samburu National Reserve. Today is a full day in Samburu with morning and afternoon game drives. Samburu boasts a unique collection of game only found in this region including reticulated giraffe, Grevy's zebra, gerenuk and beisa oryx, as well as 150 recorded bird species. BLD

Day 4. Samburu to Aberdare National Park. After breakfast drive to your lodge arriving in time for lunch. Your afternoon and evening are at leisure viewing game from the lodge's terraces and decks overlooking the waterhole

Day 5. Aberdare to Lake Nakuru National Park/Lake Naivasha. After breakfast, drive via Nyahururu to Lake Nakuru National Park. This is a truly remarkable national park which has achieved international fame. Both black and white rhino are being given a new lease of life in this 188 sq km, fully-fenced park and they are carefully protected. The present rhino population is 53 and continuing to multiply. The Rothschilds giraffe is another rarity and the park has its fair share of buffalo, leopard, wild dog, zebra, eland, waterbuck and lion. Arrive for lunch in Nakuru. Afternoon game drive in the park, then drive to Lake Naivasha with its commanding setting at the foot of the Rift Valley Escarpment.


Day 6. Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara National Game Reserve. After breakfast, drive to the Masai Mara National Reserve famous for its large prides of lion and the annual wildebeest migration (between July and October). Year round the reserve has a large variety of wildlife. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge before embarking on an afternoon game drive which will last until sunset.

Day 7. Masai Mara National Game Reserve. An early morning optional balloon ride with champagne-style breakfast is recommended for a different perspective of the Mara and its wildlife. Morning and afternoon game drives in the reserve. BLD

Day 8. Departure. After breakfast drive to Nairobi, Kenya's colourful capital city. Transfer to your hotel if you are staying on longer or to Nairobi's Jomo Kenyatta Airport for your onward arrangements. The Vintage Africa representative will re-confirm your onward flight, and assist you at check-in. B
