Day 1: Depart USA Begin your Southern Africa tour aboard your international flight to Johannesburg, South Africa.

Day 3: Arrive Johannesburg, South Africa Arrive in Johannesburg, where you are met and escorted to your elegant hotel in the heart of Rosebank. Grace Rosebank
Day 4: Johannesburg / Windhoek, Namibia Fly to Windhoek and transfer to your historic hotel, a short distance from city center. Remainder of day at leisure. Heintzburg Castle (B)
Day 5: Windhoek / Sossusvlei Dunes Fly into the great Namib Desert and Sossusvlei. Explore the dunes and surrounding environment by 4 x 4 vehicles or on nature walks. Optional hot-air balloon safari (pre-paid supplement) offers phenomenal views. Sossusvlei Wilderness Camp or Kulala Desert Lodge (B,L,D)
Day 6: Sossusvlei Dunes This morning, continue your discovery of the massive red dunes. Stick your toes in the sand, and search for signs of life. Traces and trails in the sand tell stories about the nocturnal activities of desert dwellers. Sossusvlei Wilderness Camp or Kulala Desert Lodge (B,L,D)
Day 7: Sossusvlei Dunes / Etosha National Park Fly to Etosha National Park today and head to your lodge in Ongava Private Game Reserve, which overlooks the sweep of African plains beyond. Ongava Game Lodge (B,L,D)
Day 8: Etosha National Park This day’s activities include game drives into the Okaukuejo area, scouting for game including. Opt for the ultimate African experience – safari on foot to encounter the land and animals much as early explorers did. Ongava Game Lodge (B,L,D)
Day 9: Etosha National Park / Okavango Delta, Botswana Fly to the Okavango Delta, one of the world’s largest inland water systems. Your afternoon game viewing can be done by boat, on foot or by 4 x 4 vehicle searching for rare, endemic wildlife. Mombo Camp, Jao Camp or Vumbura Plains Camp (B,L,D)
Day 10: Okavango Delta The delta has large numbers of animals not found elsewhere. The highlight is the concentrations of plains animals, including big cats. Game view by canoe or traditional 4 X 4. Mombo Camp, Jao Camp or Vumbura Plains Camp (B,L,D)
Day 11: Okavango Delta / Linyanti Wildlife Reserve Fly to Linyanti Wildlife Reserve, a private reserve on Chobe's Western boundary. It is very different from the delta and offers an unparalleled safari experience. Kings Pool Camp (B,L,D)
Day 12: Linyanti Wildlife Reserve Spend today on safari in Linyanti, renowned for its high concentration of elephants as well as lion, buffalo, antelopes and varied birds. Kings Pool Camp (B,L,D)
Day 13: Linyanti Reserve / Livingstone, Zambia Fly to Livingstone and transfer to your lodgings upstream from Victoria Falls, where stunning views of the Zambezi River await. See elephants and hippos on river’s edge. The River Club (B,L,D)
Day 14: Livingstone & Victoria Falls Today’s focus is the fabulous falls. You hear the water first, even before you spot the heavy mist rising into the sky. Many optional activities available. The River Club (B,L,D)
Day 15: Livingstone / Kafue National Park Fly to Lunga and transfer to Busanga Plains in Kafue National Park, virtually untouched by human development. Investigate the area on game drives and on walking safaris. Night drives offer added excitement. Shumba Bush Camp or Kapinga Bush Camp (B,L,D)
Day 16: Kafue National Park Discover this wildlife paradise during game drives on the plains. Chances are good for sighting wild dog, cheetah and large lion prides as well as leopard and some of the 491 bird species. Experience the bush at night on evening drives. Day 17: Kafue National Park / Lusaka / Johannesburg Leave the wilds of Zambia to fly via Lusaka to Johannesburg. After check-in to your hotel, the remainder of the day is at leisure (subject to flight schedules). Grace Rosebank (B)
