Sir Francis Drake once described this area as 'the fairest Cape in all the world'. Cape Town's location is spectacular; the city is dominated by a 3 280ft-high, flat topped mountain with virtually sheer cliffs and surrounded by mountain walks, vineyards and beaches.
There is a variety of things to do and see. Wander around the cosmopolitan Green Market Square located in center city, or sail on the harbor to gain a very different perspective on the beauty of Cape Town, enjoy a meal or shop at the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront's working port; or visit Cape Town's new aquarium to see the myriad of sea life that the Cape is home to. In Cape Town, there is something for everyone.
Day 3 Cape Peninsula Tour
Visit Hout Bay; heart of the local crayfish industry. Enjoy the spectacular views at the Cape of Good Hope and visit a colony of penguins at Boulders Beach.
Day 4 Cape Winelands Tour
Escape to the beauty and tranquility of the Paarl, Franschhoek and Stellenbosch Winelands and sample wines from well-known estates.
Day 5 Fly Cape Town to Livingstone (Via Johannesburg)
Today you will be met in the lobby of your hotel for your transfer to Cape Town International Airport for your flight to Livingstone via Johannesburg. On arrival at Livingstone Airport, you will be met and transferred to your accommodation.
Livingstone, city in southern Zambia, the capital of Southern Province. Livingstone is situated just north of the Zambezi River, which forms the border with Zimbabwe, and 11km north of Victoria Falls. It is a major tourist center serving visitors to the falls.
Local attractions include Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, located adjacent to Victoria Falls, and Livingstone Game Park. The Livingstone Museum has displays of African prehistorical and historical artifacts, and memorabilia related to Scottish missionary David Livingstone and his exploration of the region in the 1850s.
Day 6 At Leisure, Livingstone
Day 7 Fly Livingstone to Linyanti (Via Kasane)
Today you will be collected from your hotel and transferred by road to Livingstone Airport for your departure flight. On arrival at Livingstone Airport, you will proceed through passport control where you will board your connecting flight to Kasane Airport. Weather permitting; enjoy a flight over the Falls.
Linyanti is situated north of Savuti in a corner of the Chobe National Park. The Linyanti Swamp is one of the most attractive areas in the park. It boasts a great diversity of game and a restful atmosphere.
The north-western corner of Chobe meets the Linyanti River - this is a fragment of almost 900 square kilometers of the secluded Linyanti Swamp. This area is further expanded by the Selinda Reserve in the west and Namibia's remote Mamili National Park on the northern bank of the Kwando River. The area's relative remoteness makes it a favored safari destination.
Day 8 At leisure, Linyanti
Enjoy your day at leisure exploring the area. Linyati offers a variety of activities. They include game drives in open 4x4 vehicles, night drives and game and bird walks, canoeing in stable 'Canadian' canoes on the large lagoons and boating on the smaller waterways.
Day 9 Fly Linyanti to Okavango Delta
Enjoy your inter-camp air transfer.
The Okavango is, without any doubt, the most widely known area in Botswana. The Delta is an area of tranquil, lily covered lagoons and narrow channels hemmed in by papyrus Reeds, and teeming with animal and bird life. Probably the most precious wetland in the world, The Okavango is a river delta that feeds into dry land instead of the sea. It is the only one of its kind.
The Okavango Delta is a unique oasis at the northern edge of the sands of the Kalahari Desert. Flood rain waters from the Angolan highlands are carried by the Okavango River into the delta where it spreads out creating countless waterways and lagoons over an area of approximately 10 000 square km. Papyrus and Phoenix palms flourish here on the edge of the desert, and the waters provide an ecosystem for Fish Eagles and Kingfishers, Hippopotami, Crocodiles and Tiger fish.
Day 10 At leisure, Okavango Delta
Enjoy your day at leisure exploring the area. The Delta offers unparalleled opportunities for bird watching, game viewing, fishing, photography, night drives and walking safaris. The Delta is most famous for its bird life, which includes more than 350 species. Eagles, Pel's Fishing Owls and Bee-eaters can be seen on a game-viewing trip, on a traditional dug-out canoe.
Day 11 Fly Okavango Delta to USA (Via Maun and Johannesburg)
Today you will be transferred by small charter plane to Maun Airport. On arrival, fly to Johannesburg where you will connect to your international flight back to the USA via London.
