For those with limited time or wanting to experience a short glimpse of this very large country, we offer this 10 day tour based on joining a group of English-speaking like-minded travellers from around the World. Sightseeing is done by motor coach and all hotel accommodation is first class. Extensions can be provided to other parts of China on an independent basis after the completion of this group tour.
Tour Itinerary
Day 1.
Arrive Beijing. Welcome to the Orient. You will be met by Our local representative and transferred to your hotel.The rest of the day is at leisure.
Day 2.
Beijing sightseeing. Today visit the Forbidden City, whose acres of splendid 15th century halls and pavilions graced with imperial treasures. Also visit Tian An Men Square, the largest plaza in the world. Also visit the prestigious Summer Palace where the emperors and empresses spent their time enjoying the vast gardens and man-made lake. Day 3.
 Great Wall and Ming Tombs. A day you won’t forget! Walk on The Great Wall of China, the only man-made object visible to the naked eye from outer space. You will also visit the Ming Tombs where a total of 13 Imperial Tombs from the Ming dynasty are found and the Sacred Way. BLD
Day 4.
More Beijing. Visit the Temple of Heaven to see the local people doing Tai Chi and other morning exercises. Later, enjoy a tour of Old Bejing with its traditional Hutongs. Also, visit and explore the Museum of China Ancient Archetecture & History of Beijing. In the evening, enjoy a Peking Duck dinner and cultural show. BLD .
Day 5.
Beijing to Xian. Today, fly to the ancient capital of Xian, a veritable treasure trove of Chinese culture
Day 6.
Xian sightseeing. Visit the over one thousand life-size terra cotta warriors which have been standing guard by the tomb of Qin Shi Huang for 2,000 years. The individually sculpted warriors may be the archaeological find.
Day 7.
Xian to Shanghai. This morning you will fly to Shanghai, the largest city in China. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. B.
Day 8.
 Shanghai sightseeing. Today’s sightseeing includes bustling Nanjing Road and the legendary Bund, or riverfront esplanade, (heart of the European settlement of the old Shanghai of novels and movies). Also visit the Jade Buddha Temple and the elegant Yu Yuan Gardens. In the evening, enjoy the acrobat show. BLD.
Day 9.
Zhujiajiao. Morning excursion to Zhujiajiao, a river-town near Shanghai famous for its old bridges and houses. Return to Shanghai for a visit to the excellent Shanghai Museum BLD .
Day 10.
Shanghai to your home city. Transfer to your return flight or possibly extend your tour to the Orient. B
