Day 1.
Arrive Cochin. Meet and greet by your representative and transfer to the Taj Malabar Hotel. Popularly referred to as the Queen of the Arabian Sea, Cochin is located on the west cost of India in the beautiful state of Kerala. The city can be regarded as the commercial and industrial capital of Kerala.
Day 2.
Cochin. This morning, embark on a half day city tour of Cochin. In the afternoon, which is at leisure, take time to explo
re the city. This evening, you will attend a Kathakali dance performance.
Day 3.
Cochin/Kumarakom. Following breakfast, depart on a morning drive to Kumarakom. Kumarakom, situated on the banks of the Vembanad Lake, is one the world famous Backwater destinations of Kerala. Fishing, boating and visits to the countryside make this destination a unique place to look forward to. Kumarakom also has a small bird sanctuary where different species of birds can be seen. B
Day 4.
Kumarakom/ Periyar. Morning drive to Periyar after breakfast. Set high in the ranges of the Western Ghats in Kerala is the Periyar National Park and Tiger Reserve. The park has a picturesque lake at the heart of the sanctuary. Formed with the building of a dam in 1895, this reservoir meanders around the contours of the wooded hills, providing a perennial source of water for the local wildlife. B
Day 5.
Periyar/Kovalam. Depart for Kovalam after breakfast. Kovalam beach is known as the "Paradise of the South". Kovalam means "a grove of coconut trees" and true to its name the village offers an endless sight of coconut trees. The crescent-shaped beach has three definitive parts. B
Day 6.
Kovalam. The entire day is free to relax at the beach or explore the town on your own. B
Day 7.
Kovalam/Trivandrum. Transfer to Trivandrum airport to connect to your flight back home.
