Tour Itinerary
DAY 1:
On arrival your room is available for immediate occupancy. Afternoon sightseeing includes the Shahid Minar.
DAY 2:
Fly to Bagdogra and then transfer overland to Darjeeling.
DAY 3:
Travel to Tiger Hill to see the sun rise over Kanchenjunga. Visit Ghoom Monastery, home to the Gelukpa or "Yellow Hat" Buddhist sect. Later, board the narrow-gauge "Toy Train."
DAY 4:
Visit the Tukvar Tea Estate for a private lunch. The remainder of the day is available for optional activities.
DAY 5:
After a morning drive to Pelling, tour the Pemayangtse Monastery and the Rabdentse Ruins.
DAY 6:
A scenic drive brings you to Gangtok.
DAY 7:
A full day to see the sights of Gangtok, including the inspiring Rumtek Monastery.
DAY 8:
Travel overland to Kalimpong where this afternoon you visit nurseries with exotic flowers and Kalimpong's oldest monastery.
DAY 9:
Board a flight to Guwahati. Later drive to Kaziranga, home of the UNESCO World Heritage Kaziranga National Park.
DAYS 10-11:
Two days of morning and evening games drives by either elephant or jeep.
DAY 12:
Travel to the Jorhat airport for your flight to Kolkatta.
DAY 13:
Transfer to the airport to board a homebound flight.
