The Datai is 30 minutes by car from the island's international airport, which is 20 kilometers west of Pulau Langkawi's main town, Kuah. Domestic flights are scheduled daily between Kuala Lumpur and Penang, while international flights come in from Changi Airport in Singapore and London (twice a week). Travelling time to Langkawi can vary from 30 minutes to 8 hours by air, and 45 minutes to 3 hours by sea, depending on point of embarkation.
