Day 1: Heho /  Inle Lake

Arrive in Inle Lake, where you begin to discover the everyday lives of the people of Myanmar. Inle Lake, located in Shan State, nestled in a small valley rimmed with high hills. The calm waters are dotted with patches of floating vegetation and busy with fishing canoes.  The lakeshore and islands are home to 17 villages on stilts, mostly inhabited by the Intha people. Here, board a boat to the western shore of the lake where you will find the beginning of a stair path leading to the hidden Inn Thein Pagoda complex. Visit one of the most amazing historical sights on the shore – hundreds of small stupas overgrown by moss and greens. Continue on foot to a village nearby farmers still grow crops by traditional methods. Walk in an easy pace along one of the many creeks passing through rice fields to the village of Sae Ma. Visit the primary school of the village and possibility to meet the children and teachers to observe their way of learning and teaching. Then walk to the weaving village of Tha Lay. Meet villagers along the way and travel to one of the monasteries to observe the monastic activities. Return by boat to hotel. Inle Lake View Resort

Day 2: Inle Lake

Continue your exploration of the unique lakeshore cultures. Travel by boat to Ywama and Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda. Inle Lake View Resort
 
Day 3:  Inle Lake / Depart

Return to Heho by road, then on to your next destination.
