Why not take advantage of this different and unusual trip to the hill resort of Sapa from Hanoi. Sapa is an old French "hill station" to which one escaped to avoid the heat of the summer. It is nestled in the mountains and is the most scenic mountainous region of Vietnam. The local markets are run by the ethnic minority hill tribes. To add to the enjoyment of this visit to Sapa, you will travel by the exclusive private train owned and run by the Victoria Hotel, which also provides the accommodation.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1. Hanoi to Sapa. Transfer in the late evening to Hanoi railway station to join the overnight Victoria Express train. Departing at 10pm.

Day 2. Arrive Sapa. Arrive the next morning at 6:30am and transfer to the Victoria Hotel for 1 night's accommodation. Later enjoy a visit to Sapa market. Have lunch then take an excursion to Ta Phin to view the beautiful scenery of the valley and the rice terraces. There will be time to visit a Hmong tribe village and get to know their daily life and culture. BL

Day 3. Sapa. Today is a full day trek to the villages of Ta Van and Lao Chai with a picnic lunch. These villages are the homes of the Hmong and Dzay ethnic minorities. See bamboo forests, waterfalls and rice terraces. Later, transfer back to the railway station for the return Victoria Express train journey to Hanoi departing at 9:15 pm. BL

Day 4. Hanoi. Arrive in Hanoi this morning at 5:30am.

Price includes:

One night hotel accommodation with private facilities in Sapa, 2 nights on the Victoria Express, meals as shown as BLD, two full days sightseeing and transfers.
