Day 1 Darwin to Litchfield National Park
Our outback journey begins in the Top End of the Territory when we head out of Darwin to Litchfield National Park. Here waterfalls cascade from the sandstone plateau of Tabletop Range and create beautiful pools and pockets of rainforests. These features combine to provide a special paradise for us to enjoy. Highlights of our visit to the Park include the giant termite mounds, Florence and Wangi Falls and refreshing swims in their natural pool.
We then return to Darwin - capital of Australia's Northern Territory and a modern, tropical city set on a harbour twice the size of Sydney's. It is a fantastic mix of cultural character, mystery, beauty and unlimited potential that is waiting to explore! After checking into our accommodation, there is no better way to soak up Darwin's special character by taking in sunset over the ocean in the "Top End" prior to a free evening to sample the local cuisine.
