What to Expect: Guests arrive at Wilson Island by boat from Heron Island, approximately 40 minutes away. Ideal for nature enthusiasts seeking a secluded getaway free of distractions, the resort offers six deluxe tents just steps from the beach. This eco-resort is powered by batteries and solar power, and fresh water is supplied by rainwater (bottled drinking water is provided). Children under 12 are not allowed.
Amenity Highlights: Guests can snorkel in the pristine waters right in front of their tent, take a self-guided or guided nature walk, or watch baby sea turtles emerge from their nests on the beach (seasonal). The Longhouse features a relaxation lounge and a dining area where guests enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner, plus snacks and beverages throughout the day.
Insider Tip: There are no convenience stores on Wilson Island, but guests can purchase most essentials on Heron Island before arriving at the resort.

Wilson Island is a secluded coral cay on the Great Barrier Reef. Guests can snorkel in the pristine waters right off the beach or participate in guided reef and island walks. The Longhouse is the central dining and relaxation area with a lounge and library with books, CDs, and magazines. Wilson Island Accommodations
Overview Wilson Island offers six permanent, designer-inspired tents with raised timber floors. Each tent features a king bed with duvets (seasonal) and pillows, bedside tables with battery-operated lights, a storage chest, and deck chairs and hammocks. Tents also include bath towels, beach towels, and bathrobes. Each tent has a designated private shower and dressing area in the communal washhouse. Toilets and vanities are also located in the washhouse. All power is provided by battery or solar power. The room rate includes all meals, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, Heron Island to Wilson Island return boat transfers, and snorkeling gear.
