Itinerary
DAY 1 Banff
Departing Calgary, travel westward through rolling foothills to the dramatic ranges of the Canadian Rockies. Upon arrival in Banff, visit Bow Falls, Surprise Corner and Tunnel Mountain with your informative Driver/Guide. Your vacation is complimented by a gondola ride to the summit of Sulphur Mountain for spectacular views of the Bow Valley, Banff townsite and surrounding areas.
DAY 2 Banff
This morning take a short tour to Lake Minnewanka for a 90 minute boat cruise (seasonal*). Afterwards, return to Banff for the remainder of the day at leisure and second night stay.
DAY 3 Jasper
Venture northward along one of the most scenic highways in the world. The Icefield Parkway is highlighted by frequent wildlife sightings, glacier-fed lakes, waterfalls and broad-reaching valleys that meet majestic peaks. At the Columbia Icefield, an opportunity to tour the Athabasca Glacier on board one of the environmentally sensitive Ice Explorers awaits (included, seasonal*). From the Icefield Centre, continue your journey along the Parkway to Jasper.
DAY 4 Kamloops
This morning, transfer to the 'Rocky Mountaineer' train station to begin your two day rail adventure into Vancouver. Breakfast and lunch are included on your trip. Some of today's highlights include Pyramid Falls, the Albreda Icefield and Mount Robson. Upon arrival in Kamloops, you will be transferred to your hotel.
DAY 5 Vancouver
Return to the Kamloops train station this morning (included) to continue your rail journey to Vancouver. Travel through the Pacific Coastal Mountains and into the fields of the Fraser River Valley. Arrival into Vancouver is planned for late this afternoon. Transfer to your selected hotel (taxi transfer included).
DAY 6 Vancouver
A morning check out will complete your vacation.
This vacation is available in reverse direction, departing from Vancouver.
Additional nights and city stays are available in Vancouver and Calgary. *When day tours or attractions are not operational in the off-season, the price will be adjusted or there will an alternative excursion/attraction made available.
