Tour Itinerary
DAY 1 VIA Rail's 'Canadian'
Transfer to VIA Rail Station on your own. Your vacation begins with an evening departure from Vancouver on VIA Rail's 'Canadian' Silver & Blue service, with Dome and classic dining car (dinner included).
DAY 2 Jasper
In the early morning you will enter the Canadian Rockies, traveling in daylight to the resort town of Jasper. Winding through the Yellowhead Pass, view Mt. Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies. Arrive in Jasper in mid-afternoon to begin a 2 night stay.
DAY 3 Jasper
A morning "Discover Jasper" guided excursion takes you to Medicine Lake and Maligne Canyon. Continue on your way to Maligne Lake (seasonal*) and board a 90 minute interpretive tour. The rest of the afternoon is free to shop and explore the townsite.
DAY 4 Banff
Tour the Icefields Parkway to Columbia Icefield. Enjoy an Ice Explorer ride onto the Athabasca Glacier (April 15 - October 15). In the afternoon continue along the Icefields Parkway to the alpine town of Banff.
DAY 5 Lake Louise
This morning, take the informative "Discover Banff" excursion with a visit to the Cave & Basin National Historic Site. In the afternoon, transfer to Lake Louise for time to explore and enjoy this fabulous setting.
DAY 6 Lac Le Jeune
This morning, venture westward though the Canadian Rockies traveling over the Kicking Horse Pass and the Continental Divide to reach Revelstoke by lunchtime. After your meal stop (included), your travels continue west into the interior of British Columbia. An evening buffet at the peaceful Lac Le Jeune Resort will await your arrival (included).
DAY 7 Vancouver
After breakfast (included), continue on through the interior valleys and farmlands of British Columbia with a lunch stop in the historic village of Lillooet (meal included), before arriving at Whistler Village resort. After a brief stop in Whistler, continue onto Vancouver. Arrive in Vancouver by late afternoon.
DAY 8 Vancouver
Check-out from your hotel this morning to end your Rockies Circle West vacation.
*When day tours or attractions are not operational in the off-season, the price will be adjusted or there will an alternative excursion/attraction made available.
