We travel around Lake Ontario to the magnifi cent sight of Niagara Falls. There is plenty of time to take it all in from the lovely park-like setting on the Canadian side. Then we see the falls up close aboard the unforgettable Maid of the Mist cruise. Following the dramatic cataract along the scenic Niagara Peninsula, we visit the historic village of Niagara-on-the-Lake, the colonial capital of Upper Canada. This evening join your fellow traveling companions for dinner at the hotel. (Full breakfast / Dinner)

Day 3 - Toronto – Kingston
We start the day with an orientation tour of Toronto, viewing Queen’s Park, the busy entertainment district, stately University Avenue and the CN Tower. Heading north, we follow the shores of Lake Ontario through the Ontario countryside to the historic town of Kingston. Here, we visit Old Fort Henry, a 19th century British military fortress, and learn about British garrison life during the year of Canada’s confederation. This evening is at leisure; perhaps enjoy a picturesque dinner cruise through the spectacular 1000 Islands region. (Full breakfast)

Hotel: Holiday Inn Kingston Waterfront Hotel

Day 4 - Kingston – Upper Canada Village – Montreal
We visit Upper Canada Village, a recreated 1860’s rural community where citizens take us back in time. We then travel to Montreal, the cultural capital of French Canada and the largest French-speaking city outside France. Here our local guide introduces us to the historic sites of Montreal including spectacular Notre-Dame Basilica and the modern contrasts of bustling downtown. We also stop at Mount Royal for lovely views over the city. During our city tour, our Tour Director will reveal a special Hidden Treasure to us! (Full breakfast)

Hotel: Omni Mont-Royal

Day 5 - Montreal – Charlevoix region (2 nights)
Leaving the city behind, we travel northeast along the St. Lawrence River for a twonight stay at the magnificent Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu, majestically situated between the mountains and the sea in the heart of the Charlevoix region. Rich in tradition and history, this beautiful resort offers the charms of the countryside while maintaining the sophistication of a world-class establishment. This evening, we enjoy dinner at one of the resort’s fine restaurants. After dinner, perhaps try your luck at the resort’s cozy Casino de Charlevoix. (Full breakfast / Buffet dinner)

Hotel: Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu

Day 6 - Charlevoix region at leisure
Enjoy a full day at leisure to pursue your own interests. Experience the area’s exceptional natural sights and unique attractions. Perhaps explore the many local workshops, boutiques, studios and art galleries, go whale watching through one of the world’s most scenic marine mammal observation areas, or simply relax at the resort, play golf or tennis, take a dip in the indoor or outdoor all-season pools, or treat yourself at the spa. Your Tour Director will help you plan your day. (Full breakfast)

Day 7 - Charlevoix region – Baie-St-Paul – Quebec City (2 nights)
Our first stop today is at the picturesque village of Baie-Saint-Paul, where there is time to stroll the streets lined with beautiful ancestral homes, boutiques and art galleries. Next we visit the Basilica of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupre, located within one of the most visited shrines in North America. We then stop at the beautiful Montmorency Falls, which at 275 feet are nearly 100 feet taller than those at Niagara, before entering Quebec City, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Founded as a trading post at a narrowing of the St. Lawrence River, the walled city quickly grew on the cliffs overlooking the river. With French as the primary language, old-world Quebec City offers a truly unique experience. (Full breakfast / Dinner)

Hotel: Delta Quebec

Day 8 - Quebec City sightseeing & at leisure
We are joined by a local guide and start our sightseeing tour of Quebec City, exploring the narrow streets of the Old Town and the Plains of Abraham, site of a major colonial battle between the British and French. We travel back into Ontario to Ottawa, Canada’s beautiful capital city. On arrival, we are taken on an orientation tour of the city, viewing the stately buildings of Parliament Hill, Rideau Hall, the residence of the Governor General of Canada, the beautiful downtown parks and Rideau Canal, filled with millions of tulips in May.
