Chaunigan Lake Resort Accommodations

Deluxe Log Cabins - one or two bedroom cabin with private washroom and appropriate linens. Most have a double bed with a single bunk above, and a comfortable fold-out futon in the living area. There is a wood stove for heat and the kitchens are fully equipped with fridge, propane cooking stove, and include all cooking utensils.

Rustic Log Cabins - cozy, one-room cabin containing 2 single bunk beds, a double fold-out futon, wood stove for heat and a propane stove, propane lights, all cooking utensils and linens. No running water. Guest washroom and shower located in the main lodge.
Total of 5 Rustic Cabins
 
Main Lodge - has a roomy lounge with a great stone fireplace and a dining room where guest meals are served. The lodge also houses a games room with a pool table, darts, and board games, a hot tub on the sundeck, a sauna, an outdoor play area, guest washrooms and shower facilities.

World Class Wild Rainbow Trout Fishing
 
Chaunigan Lake Lodge started as a fishing lodge in 1935 and history has proven that our greatest asset, after scenery, is our wild rainbow trout fishing. Our careful management and remote location has preserved our world-class rainbow trout, lake fishing. The average fish size is 2 1/2 pounds. The lake has many weed beds and shoal areas, and cool water temperatures year round. The abundant freshwater shrimp population produces a clean firm rainbow trout.

Walking and Hiking Trails
 
Chaunigan Lake Lodge is located in the midst of impressive hiking trails on glaciers, alpine meadows, and untouched wilderness. Our hikes vary in difficulty so that everyone can experience the beauty of the Chilcotin up close.

Some of our hikes include:

The Chaunigan Mountain Trail: Three hours round trip, this trail takes you to the top of Chaunigan Mountain where you can enjoy a beautiful 360 degree view of the surrounding area.
The Lily Lake Trail: One and half-hours round trip, this short hike follows a creek to Lily Lake.
Mainguy Lake Trail: Forty minutes one-way, this hike follows an old fireguard at the end of Chaunigan lake to Mainguy lake. From Mainguy one can take one of Chaunigan's boats to Ducharme and Augers Lake.
Konni Mountain Trail: Twelve hours in duration, this hike is great to make an "overnighter".
The views on these hikes are spectacular.
 
Guided Trailrides on Horseback
 
A ride along forested trails with birds, wildflowers, and the beautiful vistas is part of the Chaunigan experience you won't want to miss.
