Hastings House is located on a 25-acre country estate at the head of Ganges Harbour on Salt Spring Island in British Columbia, Canada. Gardens, meadows and forest embrace Hastings House, exemplifying the charm, courtesy, character, calm and cuisine of the prestigious Relais & Chateaux hotel association. Guests enjoy the casual elegance of Hastings House while savouring the romance of the Gulf Islands. The closest airports are located at Victoria and Vancouver, British Columbia. Both are served by several international carriers and connector airlines.

Hastings House Country Estate Rooms

Hastings House features 18 suites: ten in restored historic buildings, two in a Tudor-style Manor House, seven west coast style suites and a spacious, self-contained cottage. The view from each suite is either onto formal gardens, rolling meadows, or out to the rocky seashore and harbour.

Hastings House Country Estate Dining

Five-course meals, prepared by Swiss-born executive chef Marcel Kauer and his team, are served for inside and outside guests each evening in the formal Dining Room of the Manor House or in the Verandah's casual Dining Room. Hastings House also accommodates private parties in the Snug, a cozy room adjacent to the wine cellar, and in the Verandah overlooking Ganges Harbour. Herbs and produce come primarily from Hastings House's 25 acres and from local organic farms.

Hastings House Country Estate Spa

The spa, which opened in April 2002, offers a full line of dry treatments (massage, facials, aromatherapy, therapeutic manicure and pedicure, and paraffin treatments) as well as a steam shower. Walls aged by layers of transparent colour with subtle lighting and rich fabrics, create an atmosphere of calm and tranquility.
