The Aerie Resort, Victoria, Canada General Information The island stretches along the western coast of British Columbia and is blessed with natural beauty, mild climate and friendly people. The Resort rests 1500 feet above the ocean with incredible views of Greater Victoria, The Saanich Inlet, San Juan Islands and Washington State. The Aerie is considered to be the gateway to the Cowichan Valley which is thought to be the next Provence.
There is a lot of texture in our area and some truly amazing people; artisans, glass blowers, farmers, vintners, monks, Shepherds, cheese makers, grape growers, restaurateurs, chefs, writers, fishermen and falconers. We could list an entire page of eclectic individuals that have made this valley and this island home but that is up to you to discover. We offer concierge services at the Aerie and we can put together a number of routes and activities for you to enjoy while you are with us. For more complete tours we are able to provide full day guided tours to farms, falcon facilities, wineries and a local restaurant for lunch or a cooking class. If you are not interested in leaving our Aerie you can relax, enjoy the spa, read, take a cooking class, dine, enjoy live music in the evening or, most importantly, just make time for your loved one and take a time out from the vagaries and stresses of day to day life.

Over the past decade we have developed a foraging program with our local farmers and purveyors, which afford us the opportunity to develop unique menus that pay respect to our agricultural community and help preserve the economic viability of our local growers. Vancouver Island offers an abundance of flavours that we believe to be the some of the best in the Western Hemisphere. We currently list 600 international selections from a concentration of 150 wines from the Okanagan & Cowichan Valleys in British Columbia. We strive to list the most sought after and exciting wines available on the market; so much so that we offer up 20 selections of rare and hard to find British Columbia wines by the glass. These are exciting times as the local wine industry has come full circle. Our vineyards are maturing, experienced wine makers have gained a foothold in the province and we are winning many awards around the world. Ultimately we like to think that “what grows together goes together” and Pacific Northwest wines are ideal with the abundant produce, cheeses, game, meat and poultry that is grown, produced and raised in the Cowichan Valley and outlying agricultural areas.

Here you will find harmony in body, mind and spirit as our professionally trained staff provide rejuvenating treatments that will counter balance the stress of day to day life. The Aerie Resort, Victoria, Canada Groups Corporate & Special Events The Aerie is located high in the mountains of Southern Vancouver Island, yet no more than 25 minutes from the capital city of Victoria. The splendor and European-styled facilities are reminiscent of Southern Europe and are surrounded by 85 acres of meticulously kept grounds, alpine meadows and forests. The breath-taking view from The Aerie is worth the trip alone.
The natural setting combined with impeccable service and style has proven to be a perfect match for any group seeking the privacy of a mountain setting yet still close in proxihmity to a major urban center. The Aerie Resort has two meeting rooms that range in size from 450 square feet to 1,300 square feet. They include the Garden Room, with a meeting capacity up to 24. people and the Summit Room which accommodates up to 40. Both rooms are equipped with audiovisual equipment, natural daylight, and stunning views of the southern island that compliment the versatile layout. Up to 100 guests can be accommodated for a banquet either in the Dining Room or on the Garden Decks outside. The Residence, a separate building of rooms and suites from the main resort, contains the Summit Room. One group for their exclusive use can reserve the entire Residence or Villa Cielo. Groups can also reserve the entire Aerie Resort for their exclusive use. Guests would have available 35 rooms and suites, gourmet cuisine in The Aerie Resort Dining Room and use of all facilities including The Aerie Wellness Centre, outdoor hot tubs, ,fitness facility, and tennis courts. Theme nights, retreats and weddings can be arranged as well as specialized menus. Off-site programs and activities can also be tailored to fit individual groups. From a maximum of 24 guests in our Private dining room or a complete resort buyout that can cater up to 100 guests in the hotel and main dining room. Since opening our doors in May 1991, we have had the opportunity to plan more than 600 weddings. We would be more than happy to assist you in making your wedding a most romantic and memorable day while keeping in mind the convenience and comfort of your guests. If your preference is for a small intimate elopement package, then we can offer you our Promise Package which takes care of all the planning.
