Spa
2008 will mark another exciting year at Coral Reef Club as we embark on another project. Unfortunately this will involve another extended closure, from May 18th to October 11th.
This project involves the demolition of the Coral Arms building, on the left of the driveway, immediately as you enter from the main road. Coral Arms presently houses our fitness centre, Mathilde Scherr of the Beauty Spot and Roz Toy of Roz’s Hair Salon, who both have an excellent reputation locally as well as with our repeat guests.
We are constructing a spa to house all of the above, in a completely different location of the property, demolishing accommodation that is presently used by management staff, to create the perfect oasis for our new spa. This will be a retreat that will offer top quality service in a beautiful garden setting. The beauty of the gardens at Coral Reef is a very integral part of the experience of staying here and our hope is that the spa will be a tropical sanctuary.
The architecture of the spa will be slightly different from the colonial style of the accommodations. An intentional departure from that style will result in an experience which we intend to be zen-like in a more sleek, understated and slightly modern look which will still blend right in with the Caribbean style of the property.
The rest of the project will consist of a third, upstairs tennis court. The new staff quarters, linen room, workshop and head office will all be welcomed by our staff.
We recognize the need to constantly upgrade the hotels in this very competitive global business and we are very excited about this project which will enhance our guest facilities and improve our staff facilities – both important elements of our business.
