Description of Quantock House

One of Tortola's most elegant and gracious homes, Quantock House sits on nearly two acres on Tortola's lush northwest side overlooking Brewer's Bay, and boasts some of the most spectacular landscaping we've seen in the islands. Electronic gates ushers you into the palm-lined driveway and to a covered parking area.  

Built on two levels, this superb villa's main floor offers the rich Great Room with its gracious West Indian verandah alongside and formal dining area, an office with a powder room, and in the east wing is the Floral Suite, the beautifully-furnished and air-conditioned master suite. The kitchen is detailed with custom mahogany cabinetry and blue tiling with an alfresco dining patio with gas grill just outside.

In the main level's west wing, via a corridor dotted with interesting original art, are the Monkey and French Terra Cotta Suites, two air-conditioned queen bedroom/bath suites. All three of these fully-screened main level bedroom/bath suites enjoy private, vine covered balconies all looking out to wide-angled blue ocean views. Just below the Great Room, and on the same level as the swimming pool terrace, is the private and air-conditioned Elephant Suite with its two queen beds.  

There is a small workout room too, for fitness enthusiasts. Handcrafted mahogany windows and sliding pocket doors open Quantock House's Great Room to the glorious gardens, sea views, tropical bird song and cool trade winds. Red tile floors are strewn with oriental rugs, and delightful attention to detail and lavish furnishings are evident throughout.  First class in every way, Quantock House is highly recommended...four stars.

5 satellite TVs with VCR's, CD jukebox, movie + music collections, books, games, A/C in all bedrooms, safes for valuables in all bedrooms, answering + fax machines, computer with internet access and a printer, hot tub, hammock, gas grill, some assorted snorkel gear for guests, baby crib and some toys, small gym with Health rider S500xi Treadmill (for experienced exercisers only, please), free weights + exercise equipment for pool aerobics; electronic gate into property with intercom, automatic generator, dishwasher, laundry (available for guests' use).  A complimentary, simple cold supper with a bottle of wine is provided for your arrival night, along with a complimentary starter pack with your next morning's breakfast fixings.

Rental Notes

Quantock House's caretaker, Suzie, lives in a separate cottage on the property with its own separate entrance and parking area.  Although she is there on-site should you need her advice or to report a problem, your privacy is absolutely ensured at Quantock House.

ALL RENTAL RATES ARE BASED ON TWO PERSONS PER BEDROOM AND ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE. The rental rates listed above do not include GOVERNMENT HOTEL TAX (8% for villas in the U.S. Virgin Islands including St. Thomas, St. John and St. Croix; 7% for villas in the British Virgin Islands including Anegada, Little Thatch Island, Tortola and Virgin Gorda, and 8% for villas on Grenada).
