Description of Shannon House

A stunning and verdant five-acre estate with two swimming pools connected by a waterfall! The lavish Great House offers unique, multi-leveled living and entertainment areas with alfresco dining, two casual sitting areas, and a marvelous retreat - a loft with a library, games, TV, VCR and a music collection. Also upstairs via a garden walkway is Saffron Suite, the very private pavilion with a king bed and an exceptional bath complete with a tiled sunken tub and shower.

Tucked underneath the Great House and opening onto a terrace leading to the pools is the Clove Suite with 2 adjoining bedrooms (1 has a king, or 2 twins, your choice, and the other has 2 four-poster twin beds), with a large smooth boulder forming one of its walls; both of Clove Suite's bedrooms connect to a secluded and screened alfresco rock bathroom. Just outside, the sweeping terrace overlooks unforgettable sea views. Below the Great House, down romantic garden paths, are two identical, very luxurious cottages: the Sage Suite, featuring a Balinese four-poster bed with a bath en suite done in marble and brass, and a shady covered verandah overlooking treetops and ocean vistas, and Cayenne Suite, with a king four-poster bed, a deluxe marble and brass bath, and its own private covered wraparound verandah.

On the other side of the Great House in the gardens is Nutmeg Suite, a charming studio hideaway with a queen sleigh bed, small fridge and cozy sitting area. Shannon House offers panoramic ocean views from all rooms and terraces, superb lawns and gardens, privacy from neighbors, 3 master suites, and is known as one of the most luxurious and desirable estates high on Tortola's green hillsides. Included in the rental rates are a starter bar with some sodas, your first night's dinner with wine prepared for you by the house chef, and your first morning's self-serve Continental breakfast. Friendly house cats wander in and out of Shannon House.
