There are three courses to choose from: The Links at Safehaven
The Links at Safehaven is Cayman's only 18-hole championship course with five driving distance options, providing a great game for golfers of all levels. The course lies only five miles from George Town off Seven Mile Beach, along the North Sound Coast, soaking up the sunshine and playing in the tropical breezes. The course is a par-71, measuring 6605 yards. The greens are built to USGA standards and average 5000 square feet, with an overall course rating of 75.1. Hole number 11, the Links' par three signature hole is a humbling 235 yard drive directly into the strong Caribbean trade winds. Beautiful landscaping utilizing native flora and an ingenious design concept create an interesting dichotomy between a characteristic Caribbean flavour and rolling Scottish moors.
The Britannia Situated in the heart of Seven Mile Beach at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cayman, The Britannia is the only Jack Nicklaus-designed course in the Caribbean. As you would expect of a Nicklaus course, it is the very best in every aspect of play, featuring grassy mounds, rolling dunes, lakes and oversized bunkers. It has all the natural challenges and hazards of a traditional seaside course, but it has uniqueness as well. The Britannia is actually two courses in one, a unique18 hole executive with par 3's and 4's. It is a par 58 executive style, or short, course and a par 70-championship course. On Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sunday mornings the course is played Executive format. Otherwise it is played as a very challenging 9-hole regulation course (twice for 18 if you so desire from different tees). The course is usually played with regular golf balls, however the Cayman Ball (that travels half the distance of a normal ball) was specially developed by course designer Jack Nicklaus with the executive course in mind to give golfers the feel of playing a regulation course on an executive layout. Some visitors like to try their hand at this very different experience! The Britannia also offers individual lessons and clinics from two world-class pros, a pro shop, junior programs and a Jack Nicklaus golf lounge
Sunrise Family Golf Centre Sunrise Family Golf Centre is Grand Cayman's newest golf course. Sunrise is a 9-hole par 3 course, located 15 minutes from George Town. The courses layout is challenging, ideally suited for juniors, beginners or golfers looking to sharpen their iron or short game skills. Sunrise is a walking course, which measures 897 yards. Sunrise has a full size; land based driving range 300 yards in length, with target greens, yardage markers and a grass teeing area. It features a clubhouse with a fully stocked pro-shop. Rental clubs and pull carts are available.
