"The beach curves on an on for a mile and half, and you get so spoiled for space here that if half dozen other sun worshipers get to the strand before you tumble out of be in the morning, you'll probably walk around the next bend to yet another uncrowded spot. 

Not too many tides ago there weren't even half a dozen people here - and the island was no more than a ring of beach around a swamp, on the charts identified prosaically as Prune. Then along came John Caldwell. Alias "Coconut Johnny." "Tree planting is my hobby....There's hardly an island in these parts where I can't go ashore and look at some trees I've planted." At Palm Island he can look at somewhere between two and three thousand .

PROPERTY LOCATION: Situated in the island chain of St. Vincent and The Grenadines, Palm Island is located on its own private 135-acre island hideaway at the end of the Windward Island group of the Eastern Caribbean. The resort is accessible via the hotel's launch from Union Island, which is about a 10-minute ride. There are daily flights from Barbados to Union Island.

Palm View: These beautifully appointed accommodations, located a few yards from the beach, offer the perfect vantage point to refresh in flourishing gardens ablaze with a myriad of colors from the tropics. Rooms contain one King bed, shower (some with bathtub). 

Beachfront: From your private patio steps to the shore, you'll delight in sweeping views of Union Island and other nearby islands, interrupted only by the occasional sailing vessels that come within your view. Rooms have one king bed and showers only.

Plantation House boasts four rooms (two upstairs and two downstairs), each of which includes 2 queen beds, plus in a extended living area a pull-out in couch, private bath, oversized balcony and/or patio. These Plantation House rooms are ideal for the small family.

RESTAURANTS/BARS: Royal Palm Restaurant & Bar, Intimate gourmet dining in three different areas, ensuring guests ultimate privacy and maximum dining space for breakfast, lunch and dinner. 

Sunset Beach Restaurant and Bar, Smaller, livelier, casual, grill-type fare, located beachside with its own bar.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES: For an additional charge, guests can arrange a boat charter, scuba excursions, and deep-sea fishing. One boating trip to the Tobago Cays is included in the price of the all-inclusive stay.

Honeymooners: 10% discount if couple returns to Galley Bay for their first anniversary. Honeymoon package consists of champagne and fruit in room upon arrival and continental breakfast in room on first morning at resort. Designation as a honeymoon couple must appear in the reservation request. Based on any room category.

Free Wedding on All-Inclusive stays of 13 nights or more (does not apply to Gauguin Cottage - to obtain a free wedding package, must pay the rate for a Superior Beachfront or higher category room): For stays fewer than 13 nights, the wedding package retail cost is U.S. $630. 

Wedding package consists of normal government fees, registrar cost and ceremony charges; site for the wedding and reception; bouquet of local garden flowers for the bride and boutonniere for the groom; wedding cake and one bottle off sparkling wine; all taxes and gratuities relating to above. Optional extras that are not included are photographer, additional sparkling wine for the wedding party, a background of island music, video taping. Optional extras are provided by third-party independent contractors, and the resort is not responsible for quality. IMPORTANT NOTE: Wedding ceremony is performed on Palm Island; however, a trip to St. Vincent is required to secure proper legal documentation. Air transportation round-trip to St. Vincent and applicable airport transfers are not included in the wedding package. An additional cost of US $100 per person will therefore apply. There is a 3-day minimum residency requirement on island prior to the ceremony.

Discounts for Wedding Party - Bookings of five rooms or more for the wedding party (not including the wedding couple) will receive a 10% discount. Must be booked directly with the US office.

Minimum Stays - 3 nights year-round except 7 nights December 21 to January 2, and February 7-23. All vouchers and rooming lists must detail all special offers.

Palm View - Maximum occupancy 2 persons.
Beachfront - Maximum occupancy 3 persons.

All rooms have one king-size bed. A rollaway is provided for Beachfront triples. No single occupancy from December 21-31 (inclusive). 

No Televisions or Telephones in Guestrooms: Operator shall notify its clients of the fact that guestrooms do not have televisions. Television viewing is available in a designated public area only. Worldwide telephone and telefax facilities are available but not in the guestrooms.

Dress Code - Operator shall notify its clients who book reservations at Palm Island the resort's dress code. In the restaurants, shoes are worn and bathing suits are covered. After 6:30 p.m., men wear shirts with collars and short or long sleeves (no T-shirts or tank tops), slacks or tailored Bermuda-length shorts; and women wear dresses, skirts, slacks, culottes or tailored Bermuda-length shorts (no "short shorts" or cutoffs). No jeans for men or women in the evenings.
