The verandah suites are open and breezy, yet secluded and intimate. Couples Swept Away Restaurants 

The main restaurant overlooking our swimming pool serves fresh healthy international fare inspired by the tastes of the Caribbean.

Feathers, our gourmet restaurant, features continental and creative Caribbean cuisine.

The Sea Grape Cafe located beachside specializes in authentic Jamaican cuisine and has a casual and relaxed atmosphere.

Romantic days begin with a leisurely continental breakfast served on your verandah.

The Veggie Bar serves fresh fruit, fruit juices, pita sandwiches, a variety of salads and vegetarian dishes.

Our beachside grill serves grilled chicken breast and grilled fish sandwiches.

Our four bars are praised for their fresh fruit concoctions and frozen thirst quenchers as well as an assortment of premium brand liquors.

Sports

Our 10-acre sports and fitness complex includes lighted tennis courts (five clay and five hard), two squash courts, two racquetball courts, a fully equipped gym with the latest fitness equipment, lap pool aerobics, an outdoor jogging track, steam rooms, saunas, jacuzzis,and basketball courts.

Watersports feature snorkeling, scuba diving, windsurfing, water-skiing, sailing and many more activities. Professional instructors are available for all sports.

Complimentary unlimited golf is available ten minutes away at the Negril Hills Golf Club - 18 holes, par 72 course. Transportation to and from the course is included.

Tennis

Couples Swept Away has a world class tennis facility that is unique in the Caribbean.

United States Professional Tennis Registry (USPTR) voted us "Tennis Facility of the Year 1996".

Facility and Program

Ten tennis courts - five hard courts and five clay courts - are flood lit for night play. Our two stadium courts are perfect for tournaments.

Three daily clinics (beginners, intermediate and advanced) and daily tournaments (with prizes) are hosted by our visiting tennis pro.

In addition there are three resident tennis pros who are available to play with you or give individual lessons.

And at the end of the day our Matching and Ranking Program is designed to find a partner at your level.

Water Sports

Couples Swept Away is located on Negril's spectacular seven mile white sand beach.

Water temperatures range from the mid-seventies in the winter to the mid-eighties in the summer.

Lovers of water sports will find a wide variety of activities to chose from.

If sailing is your thing, we offer sailing on Aqua and Hobie Cats, Hobie Waves, Prindles Escapes and Sunfish Sailboats.

You can explore the turquoise waters and rich Caribbean reef culture on daily supervised snorkeling trips or take a ride on our Glass Bottom Boat tours. Underwater visibility averages 90 feet.

Take a trip on the wild side, try the Mistral windsurfing boards.

We provide excellent water skiing utilizing tristar 190 Mastercraft or Barefoot 200 Mastercraft ski boats. These boats allow you to experience wake and knee boarding activities.

Experience more sedate rides on the kayaks, pedal boats and hydro bikes.

Our highly trained water sports team is always on hand to provide professional instructions.

Water sports clinics are operated on a daily basis.

Scuba Diving

Our PADI international resort dive center offers a variety of courses and dives to suit everyone from beginner to advanced diver.

Our equipment is the top of the line - Sherwood equipment. We have two thirty foot covered dive boats that have been adapted to suit stride entry or back roll entry.

We provide caddy service and will take your tanks to the boat and help you gear up aboard.

Complete beginners can start with our resort divers course.

After completion of the hotel resort divers course , you are able to go on the beginners' dive held Sunday to Friday at 11 am.

We also offer PADI certification courses.

If you are already certified by a international diving body such as PADI, BSAC, or NAUI, you can go on any two of the three dives offered daily.

All the costs of diving are complimentary with the exception of PADI certification and night dives.

Golf

We provide unlimited golf at the Negril Hills Golf Club.

This 18 hole course is just ten minutes from the resort. We take care of the transportation and green fees. You just concentrate on your game. The 120 acre par 72 course is challenging. The wind and the 6,600 yards of rolling hills come into play.

Facilities at Negril Hills include a club house, pro shop and driving range. Carts and caddies are available for an extra charge.

Fitness

We provide free fitness evaluations for all guests and then customize an individual training program to begin at the resort and then take home to continue.

Our fitness instructors are certified by the Aerobics and Fitness Association (AFAA) and are always happy to provide guidance and encouragement.

Sports classes and activities begin daily at 7 a.m. for early birds and go on until 7 p.m. and the Sports Complex remains open to 11 p.m.

We also have two swimming pools. Our 25 meter swimming pool with lap lanes is ideal for the serious swimmer who wants to include distance swimming as part of a fitness regime. The free form swimming pool located near the beach is a great place to relax for the less energetic.

We have a fully-equipped gym with state-of the art equipment, a Parcourse fitness circuit, bicycles, an aerobics studio, jacuzzis, saunas and steam rooms.

Night Life

Strut your stuff on the dance floor with reggae moves you didn't know you had. Take in Tropical Fantasy floor shows. Surrender to the sounds of the surf and the rhythms of the island. Let days float by without deadlines ... And nights become wide awake dreams.

A mandatory government license and marriage certificate processing fee of $150 is not included and must be paid at least 30 days prior to arrival. Couples Resorts also offers vow renewal and honeymoon packages to all our guests. Guests celebrating their honeymoon receive a complimentary bottle of champagne delivered to their room upon arrival, as well as His and Hers half-hour massages.

Guest passes and wedding times:

There is a day pass charge of US $75.00 per person for wedding guests staying off property.

For day passes at Couples Resorts the times are as follows:

(a) To attend the ceremony, reception (cake & champagne) and partake of one(1) meal and be here for a maximum of eight(8) hours - US $75.00 per person
(b) An all day pass 10:30 am - 11:30 pm - US$100.00 per person.

Day Pass: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm.
Evening Pass: 5:00 pm - 2:00 am.

Weddings are performed Monday - Saturday between:
Couples Swept Away -10:00 am and 4:30 pm
Couples Negril - 10:00 am - 4.00 pm
Couples Ocho Rios - 9:00 am - 4.00 pm

Requirements: Identification papers:

Notarized copies of your birth certificate
Photo ID -Copy of your passport photo or driver's licence
Notarized written parental consent if under 21

Notarized proof of divorce, or notarized copy of death certificate for widow/widower (if applicable). Certified copy of Adoption, Deed Poll or other official name change document papers if applicable. The couple is required to be on property at least two full business days in advance in order to finalize wedding arrangements.
All documentation, including a certified check or international money order in the amount of $150 payable to the applicable resort, must be received no later than 30 days prior to your arrival at the resort. For weddings booked within 21 days, the certified check or international money order in the amount of $300, including the late processing fee, and must be sent by overnight mail to the address below.

Renewal of Vows:

Say "I DO" again to your loved one in a special Vow Renewal Ceremony for only US$100. Vow Renewal Guests will receive everything we offer in the Wedding Ceremony, except his/her 1/2 hour massages and t-shirts. A certified check or international money order payable to Couples Resorts, must be received no later than 30 days prior to arrival. Honeymoon Clients:

The fairytale has begun and as a special congratulatory gift, we offer our honeymoon guests a complimentary bottle of champagne delivered to your room upon arrival, as well as a half hour his/hers massage. Please make sure the individual resort is notified that you are on your honeymoon.
