Royal Plantation General Information  What to expect: Royal Plantation only accepts guests 18 and older, as singles, couples, and groups. The hotel replicates the British colonial grandeur that once dominated Jamaica, also offering 21st-century conveniences. The grand ambience begins at a formal fountain garden outside the entrance and continues through an orchid-festooned lobby featuring a green-and-white-checkered marble floor. The resort's ocean frontage includes twin beaches separated by a dock and furnished with lounge chairs and umbrellas. Amenity highlights: On site, one beach includes a café/bar, and sunbathers there need only stick a flag in the sand to summon food-and-drink service. Shaded by almond trees, the other beach features water sports. Located on a terrace outside the lobby, a pool, sundeck, and two-level Red Lane® spa spacious enough for 24. All suites provide panoramic Caribbean views. As part of the Royal Plan, guests have unlimited green fees and and transfers at Upton Golf course. Guests who book under the Royal Plan also have full, complimentary access to the facilities and entertainment of Sandals and Beaches properties within the Ocho Rios area (includes meals). The Royal Plantation concierge can make dining, etc. arrangements for guests upon request, and, upon confirmation of plans, guests will be given an access card for the specific Sandals/Beaches hotel of their choosing.

Other amenities include complimentary welcome cocktail, champagne and chilled towel upon arrival, afternoon tea for all guests as well as complimentary hors d’oeuvres. Additionally, martinis are 50% off during Martini Friday – featured every Friday between 6 – 8 PM. Guests also enjoy complimentary pillow menu, beach butler, non-motorized water sports, and an invitation to the General Manager's cocktail party with full open bar. Guests on the Royal Plan also have access to the Sandals resorts for dining; transfers are available at their own cost. Round-trip transfers from Kingston or Montego Bay airports are included in the rate for both European Plan and Royal Plan guests. After clearing Customs, guests must exit the arrival area to the right where taxi drivers holding Royal Plantation signs await guests' arrival. Guests must provide their arrival flight details at the time of reservation in order to receive the complimentary transfer. Check-in for Air Jamaica flights is available at the resort.

Royal Plantation Accommodations  Overview - This resort offers private three-bedroom villas and seven additional categories of suites within the main hotel. Recently renovated, all suites offer king beds dressed with down bedding and fine Italian bed linens. All accommodations, newly painted in October 2005, have panoramic ocean views and feature custom-crafted mahogany furniture, individually controlled air conditioning, ceiling fans, in-room bars, sitting and dining areas, data ports, private marble baths and showers, safes that can accommodate lap-tops, and satellite TV, VCR and CD players.
Prime Minister’s Oceanfront Two Bedroom Suite - These expansive 2,100 sq. ft. suites are the height of Caribbean splendor. Upon entering the suite, guests are greeted by the checker-board, marble foyer. The entry takes guests past the adorable "plantation-styled” powder room, the fully-stocked and marble-clad wet bar, into the enormous living room. The gorgeous living area of these suites feature fine Jamaican antique furniture, a dining area, solid wood floors and a large screen TV. Located towards the end of the living room is the enormous, outdoor balcony with its own large dining table and lounge area, complete with panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea...perfect for private outdoor dining! The spacious master bedroom is home to a grand four-poster, king sized, mahogany bed, fine Jamaican furniture, large screen TV and a spacious patio of its own. The marble bathroom is decorated with beautiful orchids and accessories, a deep Jacuzzi tub and separate mosaic shower. The second bedroom offers two double beds and its own marble bathroom with hot tub and separate mosaic-tiled shower, and walk-in closet. This suite features enormous views of the ocean from all bedrooms as well as two massive balconies. Governor General’s Oceanfront One Bedroom Suite - With more than 1,500 square feet of spacious living, this suite is exactly the same at the Prime Minister's Oceanfront Two-bedroom Suite above, but without the second bedroom. This suite features enormous views of the ocean from all bedrooms as well as two massive balconies.
Luxury Oceanfront Junior Suite - This category offers the option of either a four-poster king-size bed or 2 double beds. Features large walk-in closets, marble bathrooms with huge whirlpool tub and separate tumbled-marble shower. A sitting area and French balcony are also featured. This suite boasts fabulous direct ocean views. Premium Oceanfront Junior Suite - A four-poster king bed suite with French balcony(step-out, no seating), great ocean views, en-suite sifting area with bar, walk-in closets, spacious bathrooms and his-and-hers marble vanity. Located in a secluded courtyard, three air-conditioned buildings with weathered-wood-shingle roofs house a health spa, a beauty salon, and a fitness center furnished with free weights and cardio and weight-training machines. The health spa includes complimentary men's and women's saunas and steam rooms and, for fees and the Red Lane® spa offers hydrotherapy, body treatments, facials, and massage. Drinks, including champagne, and tea, are served during treatments. 
Honeymoon Plantation Oceanfront One Bedroom Suite - Nearly 600 sq. ft in size this uniquely distinctive suite offers a romantic king- bedded room with panoramic ocean views and a large, open-air balcony; separate comfortable living area with large TV & VCR player, marbled master bathroom and walk-In closet. In addition to the marble bathroom, it’s most distinctive feature is it’s romantic Roman Spa room.
