What to expect: Set between the Blue Mountains and the blue waters of the Caribbean Sea, the Rose Hall Resort & Country Club caters to couples and families. The resort occupies what was once an 18th century sugar plantation. Many guests enjoy walking to the historic Rose Hall Great House one km (half-mile) away, which was once the home of Annie Palmer, anointed the “White Witch of Rose Hall.”
Amenity highlights: The resort is popular with families seeking getaways for active children. A highlight for all ages is the water park, Sugar Mills Falls, which features three terraced pools, lagoons, waterfalls, a lazy river, a water slide, two secluded spa tubs, and a swim-up bar. Adjacent to the main building, a 36.5-meter (120-foot) freeform pool also contains a swim-up bar and a children's section connected by a channel. The beach runs 914 meters (1000 yards). Pool decks and the private beach feature cushioned lounge chairs, umbrellas, and cabanas.
Insider tip: In addition to the resort's golf course (surcharges), guests can also play the Ironshore Golf Course located five km (three miles) away.

Set on 400 acres between the Blue Mountains and the Caribbean Just a 15-minute drive from Sangster Airport, this resort is cradled between its own championship golf course and private white-sand beach. The 488 guestrooms feature private balconies or terraces; many have ocean views. The on-site water park features a 280 ft. slide, waterfalls, lagoons, and a lazy river. Optional all-inclusive.

A health and beauty spa offers massage, body treatments, facials, waxing, and hair and nail care (surcharges for all treatments and services). A business center contains four computers with dial-up Internet access, fax machines, and a photocopy machine (surcharges for services). The resort offers more than 1021 square meters (11,000 square feet) of flexible meeting space and banquet facilities. Five shops adjoining the lobby sell gifts, sundries, jewelry, perfume, leather goods, and personal electronics. The lobby is also the site of a daily art show and a weekly craft market when local artisans bring in handmade straw items, coral jewelry, T-shirts, and handmade clothing. Shipping of purchases can be arranged.

The resort offers 488 guestrooms in two, seven-story wings. All rooms come with a patio or balcony to enjoy views of the water, golf course, or garden/mountains. Caribbean decor includes textured walls, handmade ceramic tiles, wicker furniture, and floral fabrics in tropical pastels. Features include pillowtop mattresses, premium linens, feather pillows (on request), 27-inch televisions, two dual-line telephones (one cordless) with voice mail, dial-up Internet access (surcharge), and in-room safes.
