Shopping Malls Puerto Rico has the largest shopping mall in the Caribbean at Plaza Las Americas, in the San Juan metro area. It has more than 200 stores, including J.C. Penney's, Sears, Macy's, and dozens of smaller stores for clothing, gifts, electronics, cosmetics and more.
Duty Free Puerto Rico is not a duty free island, although there are duty free shops at the airport. There is sales tax ONLY on jewelry. If you are returning to the U.S., because you're still in the U.S., there is no duty to pay when you return home. |
