In 1995, the property was bought by an English couple, David & Jane Matthews, who intended, initially, to use it as a holiday home. However, a small bar was operating.. which was kept running.. one thing followed another.. and five years later Eden Rock Hotel was invited to join the prestigious Relais & Chateaux group of distinguished hotels.
