Lidia: First of all, let us thank you for all the help you have been in facilitating our vacation and thoroughness of your work. Then, we go to a brief (we’ll try to keep it brief) comment on our vacation. From the flight schedules on to our arrival and departure, everything was completely in order. Our vacation selection which you helped us select, was nothing short of fantastic. The minute we arrived we got a glimpse of what we were in store for. Immediately upon our arrival at the Sandals Ochos Rios Villiago we were greeted with a complementary glass of champagne and smiles from every staff member we saw which was the norm throughout our stay. Everything we experienced, far exceeded our expectations almost beyond belief. We could go on and on about the many things that impressed us about the staff the organization of activities but that MUST be experienced to be believed. We came away with a need to go back and a love for the people which made it increasingly sentimental as our departure date came closer. Their ease in treating you as royalty and yet so graciously make you feel like family made it so easy to relax and enjoy their friendship. They put us on a pedestal, but it is they whom we put on a pedestal. In as far as activities, we enjoyed private leisure when we wanted and participation in organized activities as we wished. One of our better experiences was the “Rubba Dub Dub, Two In A Tub” message / therapy. WOW!!!!! What an experience!! One need not leave the resort to have a successful vacation, although we did several times to engage in some local tours. Although we could go on and on, gotta cut it short. In the up coming year, we plan to visit Alaska ( have friends in Juneau) and we have heard comments about a land cruise being favored over a sea cruise, can you give us some insight on this and is this something you can help us in planning also. Hi Lidia, had a great time! It was perfect and the cottage we had was the best there...all by itself. Lots of snorkeling, and just plain chillin'. Flights were all good, although almost didn't make the connection on the return, and our luggage didn't make it, and our battery was dead in the car...but all turned out ok. Delta brought our luggage up the next day, and the shuttle driver was able to get us a jump within minutes. Anyway, it was great. Thanks so much. the staff at Ti Kaye was fantastic...nice people.

Thanks for your note. You had also asked that I write to you about our experience with Sunset at the Palms, so I'll take a few minutes to report on the place now. As we prepared for our vacation at Sunset at the Palms, I read several reviews on Trip Advisor. Without exception the reviews were enthusiastic, but I began to grow concerned that there would be no children on site and that Lola would feel lonely, even in our company. Well, my fears were quite unnecessary. There were loads of kids there, American, European, and Jamaican. Furthermore, since the place sits adjacent to the public beach, there were more kids for Lola to play with. I think that because we were there during a holiday week there were more kids than usual, but most families are going to be traveling to SATP during holiday (or school holiday) weeks, so there's no reason for families to stay away. What's more, the staff absolutely adores children. From the bartenders who happily mixed her virgin coladas to the gardener who cut down and opened up a coconut for her, to the front gate guard who greeted her happily each day as we headed to the beach, there wasn't a single employee who didn't treat Lola like family. And because the place is relatively small (I'd guess there were no more than 80 guests on the property at any given time), a real sense of community develops among the guests. Of course, the place is utterly gorgeous and the food is far better than any other all-inclusive we've visited. We were particularly happy that there was so much Caribbean and especially Jamaican food on the menu. There were several guests who were returning for a third or fourth year in a row, and I can certainly see why they feel they've found the only place they need to go. Oh, where to begin?!
We can't thank you enough for suggesting this slice of paradise! We had only heard of T&C once before you mentioned it to us...and we can't imagine that we ever would have had a better time in the Bahamas, as we first considered. For only the second time in my life, I really felt like I was *in* a travel brochure!! (The first time was on the black sand beach in Hawaii.)
The Palms was lovely. (Of course, we were totally spoiled by the Four Seasons in Wailea, which we consider the gold standard of luxury and set the bar very high for any of our subsequent experiences!) We had a few hiccups with spa reservations and interactions with the concierge, but nothing that detracted from our trip significantly. The staff, especially at the pool and on the beach, couldn't have been more pleasant and accommodating. Because there are only 70+ rooms on the property, and they weren't at capacity, the restaurants, pool and beach weren't crowded at all, so it really made us feel like we were at an exclusive hideaway. And we saw a few families with babies and toddlers, reminding us that an exciting life of travel doesn't have to end once children arrive. We asked one of our taxi drivers when the "busy" season was, since there didn't seem to be many people around....he said that the island is busiest from December to April, but this season hasn't been as crowded because of the weak U.S. economy. It was nice to see other people around (so we didn't feel deserted) but not to be overwhelmed by crowds...and making dinner reservations was never a problem. One slight disappointment was learning upon our arrival that the Gecko public bus system has been suspended, so we ended up spending more money on taxis than we anticipated. But again, not a deal-breaker. If we had it to do over (and we surely hope to go back!), we'd probably rent a car for a day or two and plan our movements around the island more carefully to make the most of each one-way taxi ride! The restaurants were amazing! When I returned to work, several people commented that they could tell I was really showing now -- I told them I wasn't sure if they were seeing the baby....or five days of resort cuisine!! We had breakfast at the hotel each day, though we did order from the menu a few days -- the included continental breakfast just wasn't enough to sustain us some days. :-) We enjoyed both restaurants at the hotel -- Plunge and Parallel 23 -- for lunch and dinner respectively. We also had an enjoyable lunch at Da Conch Shack, more so for the authentic local experience than necessarily for the food, but we knew that it was a "must" for being there. We also had fabulous dinners at Coyaba, Coco Bistro and Hemingway's. At first we had a bit of sticker shock at the prices, but we understood that the price of importing everything was an important consideration...and after all, we were on a special vacation. Next time, we could find ways to eat a bit more economically, but this time, we didn't mind splurging. :-) The weather was spectacular! In many ways, it was the honeymoon weather we never had! (Though we know that so many people can say they had a perfect Hawaiian honeymoon...not everyone can tell the story we can that we were there for "the wettest March in 56 years!") The forecast every day was "Another perfect day in paradise" :-) It was a bit more windy than we imagined, but nothing that a light sweater for dinner didn't cure. And the two rain showers we experience lasted just about as long as it took the windshield wipers to make one swish along the taxi window! One of our most enjoyable experiences was an excursion through J&B Tours to a private beach for the day. For the reasonable price of $225 (compared to $950 for a similar experience through Sail Provo), we went to a secluded beach on the nearby island/cay of our choice (helped by the boat captain, who knew way more than we ever would have!). The company provided the umbrella, chairs and picnic lunch and said they'd pick us up whenever we wanted -- from a few hours to the whole day, depending on what we wanted. We chose to stay from 10-2...but when the captain came back for us, we wished we had stayed longer since it was so spectacular! When we go back, there are a couple of other things we'd like to do/see -- a specific snorkeling expedition out on the reef (vs. what we were able to see closer to shore), touring more of the island in a rental car, looking in more of the shopping areas (also with benefit of a rental car), and dining at many of the great restaurants we didn't go to this time. All in all, though, while there were plenty of things to do, we didn't feel that there was so much to do that we'd be somehow missing out if we decided just to relax on the beach instead! As a testament to how great it was, we actually got up early on our last morning -- rising at 6 a.m. to make sure we were the first people at breakfast so we could spend every moment possible on the beach just taking in the experience before we had to leave for the airport. Whew, that's probably more than you were expecting -- as Bryan would tell you, I'm the talker in the family :-) If any of your other clients ever need a referral or would like to hear about our recent experiences, please don't hesitate to let us know. Dear Carol, Nevis was wonderful!!! Your plans for us went very smoothly and timely. There are new managers at Nevis and they weren't as visible as the managers when we were there last. However, the facility was as we remembered it, and it was a great way to relax, meet new people, and to forget about what was happening in Burlington. We stayed in the Cotton Ground Unit, which was right next to the Hamilton where we stayed before. We went to The Sugar Mill at Montpelier, a very fabulous experience, but
also expensive. Also, we went to Miss June's and that was another unusual and fun experience. Miss June is in her 80's and she does the cooking, and is available to talk to the group. She only serves once or twice a week. Oh, the tales she tells, and the unusually atmosphere in her home. If you like to meet people, try different types of foods, and to have an all around good time, we strongly recommend going to one of her dinners. These two activities were the extras that we did besides resting, reading, walking etc. We thank you for your prompt and expert advise and will continue to call on

Caribbean worked hard to assure a good time - I can't say enough about the staff. The ship (though older and smaller) was beautiful and very clean. The weather was not the greatest (too cool) but you can't do anything about
that! There was not nearly enough time in Key West. And there might have been a little more organized recreation for the young teens. We would consider traveling with another family or two next time, to assure playmates for the kids. Best of all, my husband was able to relax and unwind and truly enjoy himself
(much more than he anticipated!). The excursion to the Mayan ruins was the absolute highlight for him and Gus. They had a great day. We appreciate all you did for us in planning this little trip. We will

Anyway, Atlantis was a lot of fun and 5 nights stay was way too short. It’s like World Disney but a water park. There’s always something to keep us busy and our timing was great too. It was pure bliss! There was absolutely NOTHING that could have been improved. Yes, its true that you will read some reports on Trip Advisors or other sites about construction, but you had us on the other side of the resort and never heard any of it. We were able to get the massages you mentioned ("Zen massage" where they incorporated Pilates and Yoga stretching with deep tissue massage...unbelievable!). Our suite was actually a stand alone pavilion, with sliding glass doors on 3 sides, and the bathroom, closet, mini-bar changing area behind a wall behind the bed. Everything, candy, soda,beer, Perrier, chocolate, nuts, macaroons) except hard liquor was free, as were all local calls and calls to the US. The food was to die for, and when I kept ordering the same thing every day for lunch (cold cucumber soup, the chef offered to give me the recipe (which I took, but have yet to find...I'm still in that "state of bliss"). We made very good use of all the beach equipment, sailed every day on a Hobie cat, sea kayaked and snorkeled (I brought my own dive equip, but they have plenty of very high end equip for guests to use). There are no life guards, per se, but I guess you'd call them beach attendants (who were very adept at swimming, so I wouldn't worry if there was a beach emergency) kept us cool with water, cold towels, regular towels, and doing such mundane things as moving chairs to get in or out of the sun. One of them saw that I was collecting shells, and went to get me a bucket for storage! When I went in the water, he kept looking for shells for me! Just incredible, over the top, friendly guest service. The kind of service where your needs are anticipated, you don't need to ask for something, they've thought of it before you have...
We found out at the last minute that we had friends staying at Grace Bay Club at the same time, and invited them to our place for dinner. Our resort arranged a car for their pick up. We asked if room service could provide some appetizers for us to have in the room before dinner. No problem. The chef gave us a menu, but then made additional suggestions for appetizers that were not on the menu, which we chose.
Everything was delivered and set it up on a recessed table (to make it seem like you are sitting on the floor) on the beach side patio outside of our room, just as the sun was dipping into the horizon. We had been forewarned that there were little "no see 'ems" (those tiny mosquitoes that come out at sunset) and brought bug spray, but the hotel provided something that smelled much nicer and did the trick as well. When we were done, we call for a ride (very nice golf carts some of which sat 6 people) to dinner. Zip.. we were there. Any time we called for a ride (which I must admit wasn't too often, since we enjoyed the walk), it arrived within 2 or 3 minutes NO EXAGGERATION!!! When we got back to our room, all the serving dishes, plates utensils, glasses, table cloths, etc, had been cleaned away. As an added attraction, which I'm not sure if you planned or not, there were only 9 guests, including us when we arrived; Eve Longoria and her new husband were checking out, and a group of models, agents, and catalog photographers from Victoria's Secret checked in to use the resort as a backdrop for next year's bathing suit collection. And, yes I did get pictures; my husband was pleasantly surprised!
I can't thank you enough! It was more therapy than a vacation. There was no formal dress code, very quiet, very secluded and impeccable in every way. This would not be the place to go if you wanted a lot of shopping, lots of choices of clubs to go to at night, or be on a busy beach. Of course, the concierge will arrange any of those things for you if you want (off property), but we were content to just stay where we were. The ultimate question is, would we go back? ABSOLUTELY. Would we recommended it to our friends? ABSOLUTELY. Is it expensive? ABSOLUTELY, but you don't get the feeling like you are being "nickel and dimed", so to speak (like with the free mini bar and phone calls to the US), and the service was the best I have ever experienced.
I have emailed your name to many of my friends again (since you helped with our previous "over the top" trip to Hawaii), and I hope they get a chance to experience what value a great travel agent can provide! You truly gave us one of the most comforting, therapeutic, and luxurious experiences imaginable. We had an AMAZING time. The resort was impeccable and the weather was fantastic. There was so much for all ages to do at the resort that we ended up doing only one excursion - the horseback riding. That was fun, but the "jungle" is no longer much of a jungle since the hurricane. They did get to ride the horses in the ocean and everyone said that was great (I opted not to, and videotaped the others from shore). I would go back in a heartbeat.
