Day 1: San Jose / Sierpe / Drake Bay, Osa Peninsula
There are no roads to your destination today, the remote north of Corcovado, one of the last great strongholds of primary forest in the Americas. Fly to Palmar Sur and transfer to your boat to the lodge for a late lunch. Explore the trails, swim, watch birds from your veranda, or join an optional fishing or horseback excursion. Day 2: Corcovado National Park
Explore Corcovado today, walking with a naturalist-guide through ancient trees, and scouting for scarlet macaws, anteaters, monkeys, and tiny frogs. Return to your lodge for sundowners and an excellent dinner. Casa Corcovado (B,L,D)
Day 3: Cano Island Biological Reserve
Travel by boat to Cano Island, strewn with pre-Columbian artifacts and surrounded by teeming coral reefs. Spend the day snorkeling, relax on the beach or hike to the mysterious stone spheres and burial sites. Casa Corcovado (B,L,D)
Day 4: Sierpe / San Jose
Retrace your voyage to Rio Sierpe, where you are taken to your flight to San Jose. Transfer to your hotel. (B)
