Lapa Rios is situated in a remote private reserve containing 1,000 acres of Central America’s last remaining lowland tropical rainforest and one of the most ecologically diverse places on earth.

Each of the 14 thatched bungalows has an ocean view and is surrounded by the rain forest. Immerse oneself in the natural atmosphere as constant tropical breezes pass through screened window walls. Each bungalow features a private deck and patio garden, complete with an outdoor shower.

Optional excursions include bird-watching tours, forest walks, horseback riding and Corcovado National Park where you'll encounter miles of private, uncrowded trails in prime rain forest, cool rivers wild with waterfalls and pools, and pristine beaches.

Day 1
Fly to Puerto Jimenez airstrip and transfer by boat to Lapa Rios Lodge. Lunch will be served upon arrival and the remainder of the day is yours to enjoy in this paradise. Lapa Rios

Day 2
A full day to explore the area and its diverse flora and fauna. Search for all 4 species of Costa Rican monkeys as well as other animals. Lapa Rios

Day 3
Arrive San Jose late morning and transfer to the Xandari Plantation. Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 4
Transfer to the international airport for your departure flight to the United States.
