Tour Itinerary
Day 1 Antigua, Guatemala Upon arrival in Guatemala City, Guatemala, you will be met by a representative and transferred to Antigua, approx. 1 hour drive.
Antigua is a truly wonderful colonial city and is among the oldest and most beautiful cities in the Americas. Cobblestone streets, colorful street markets, huge ruined convents, art galleries, museums, boutique hotels and street cafes all contribute to its mysterious and alluring charm.
Built 5,000 feet above sea level in the highlands of Guatemala, it was largely destroyed by an earthquake in 1773, with many of the original buildings still preserved as ruins. Antigua's natural setting is spectacular, with majestic volcanoes surrounding the city on all sides.
Your hotel, the Casa Santo Domingo has creatively integrated all the comforts and amenities within a colonial monastery and all its beautiful grounds. Many treasures from the baroque period are preserved here and the restaurant is located in part of an old convent. Located 10 minutes walking distance from the center of the City. Casa Santo Domingo
