Istanbul, Gulet Cruise, Antalya

This pleasant program combines the charms of Istanbul with the gentle pleasures of a four-night gulet cruise along the Turquoise Coast. Spend three nights in Istanbul, taking in the full range of the city’s many varied attractions. Fly to Marmaris, where you will board your gulet. A cruise on these traditional Turkish ships, with their rich woodwork, is a delightful way to appreciate the historical attractions of the coast, and the sublime landscape of the region. Touring includes Dalyan and Kaunos, an important trading port in ancient times, now famous for its mud baths and hot springs. This is a delightful region for a cruise, with small wooded islands, clear blue waters, and steep pine covered hills rising along the coast. Spend four nights on the gulet, stopping off at lively ports and ancient towns along your journey. Disembark in Oludeniz, then drive to Antalya for a two night stay. Antalya’s ideal climate and dramatic setting atop a limestone plateau combine to make it one of Turkey’s most appealing destinations. Spend time at leisure, or arrange for optional touring of the surrounding area. Fly to Istanbul for a final night before your international departure.
