Fiji - New Zealand - Australia - Singapore - Thailand

The classic itinerary for a circle tour of the Pacific on an independent basis.

Six of the world's most exotic destinations can be seen and experienced in just 17 days. All of the highlights of Classic South Pacific are included in this special itinerary plus spectacular Singapore and exotic Bangkok.

Day 2. South Sea Day Cruise. Today enjoy a full day cruise to Tivua Island. There will be plenty of time to swim and to relax in the sun. A smorgasbord lunch is included. BL

Day 3. In Fiji. A day at leisure to explore the local shops and markets or just relax at the hotel. B

Day 4. Nadi to Auckland. Today depart Fiji and fly to Auckland the “City of Sails” (airfare not included). On arrival you will be transferred to your hotel. The afternoon is at leisure. B

Day 5. Auckland Sightseeing. This morning a tour of Auckland including a visit to Mt Eden, Parnell Village and Paratai Drive. This afternoon travel to the Waitakere Ranges, visit the black sand beach where ‘The Piano’ was filmed and travel into a dense rainforest with tree ferns, Kauri trees and waterfalls.

Day 6. Auckland to Sydney. This morning you fly to Australia’s most cosmopolitan city, Sydney (airfare not included). Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure.

Day 7. Sydney sightseeing. This morning a guided walking tour of the historic Rocks area followed by an afternoon city tour past the Opera House, botanical gardens and out to the southern beaches including Bondi.

Day 8. Sydney Harbour and Taronga Zoo. A full day cruising Sydney Harbour with stops at the Rocks, Opera House, Watson’s Bay and Taronga Zoo. At the zoo see many native animals including Kangaroos and Koalas.

Day 9. Sydney to Cairns. At leisure until you depart for Cairns. Upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel (airfare not included). Tonight you might like to try the local seafood.

Day 10. Great Barrier Reef Cruise. Travel on Quicksilver’s magnificent wavepiercing catamaran to the very outer edge of the Great Barrier Reef. Dive, snorkel or view the abundant sea life from the underwater observatory, or semi-submersible submarine. L

Day 11. Rainforest, Kuranda & Aboriginal Experience. Transfer to the Kuranda Scenic Train for a spectacular ride to charming Kuranda, famous for its markets. Travel into the towering rainforest on an amphibious army duck and enjoy an Aboriginal cultural performance and experience a “Dreamtime” walk with an Aboriginal guide. See Australian native animals including koalas and kangaroos. Glide over the lush canopy on the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway and stop at the rainforest interpretive centre. Coach transfer back to your accommodation. L

Day 12. Cairns to Singapore. Travelling via Sydney we depart Australia and journey to the island country of Singapore (airfare not included). On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is free.

Day 13. Singapore sightseeing. This morning you’ll be taken on a tour of this cosmopolitan city with its lush green parks and gardens, gleaming skyscrapers, and colourful ethnic neighbourhoods such as Chinatown and little India. Also enjoy a visit to Mount Faber with its panoramic views and the Orchid Garden. The afternoon is free for shopping, or perhaps visit Raffles Hotel for a Singapore Sling. B

Day 14. Singapore to Bangkok. Today you are transferred to the airport for your flight to Bangkok (airfare not included). The Thai capital since 1782, Bangkok, known as the “Venice of the East”, is a national treasure house. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. B

Day 15. Bangkok Sightseeing. Visit the famous Grand Palace and glorious temples including the Reclining Buddha. The afternoon is free. This evening experience an authentic Thai dinner and cultural performances in a beautifully decorated Thai style house. BD

Day 16. More Bangkok. Today’s full day of sightseeing includes a visit to Thailand’s most colourful Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. This afternoon a visit to Rose Garden to enjoy a Thai cultural show, including sword fighting and Thai boxing. BL

Day 17. Bangkok to North America. Today is at leisure until your transfer to the airport for your onward flight. Stay longer if you can. B
