Each deluxe ocean front bure has 2 large bedrooms (accommodation capacity of maximum four persons) with a zip-apart king size bed in the main bedroom a second bedroom with a queen bed. There is a comfortable sitting area, a large beautifully tiled bath and shower area, and an oversized, covered veranda overlooking the sea and just a few feet away from the water’s edge. Each bure has comfortable furniture and a hammock on the veranda, a mini bar and coffee/tea making facilities.
Lalati's only honeymoon bure is secluded at the end of the beach, farthest away from the main bure. It features a huge room with four poster bed and 3 sitting areas, a private deck overlooking the sea and a private courtyard with hot tub, daybed, outdoor rock shower, waterfall and doors that open for a seaview or close for privacy. Until our website is upgraded next month with information on our honeymoon bure, please enjoy the description and photos here:
The hillside bure is set back from the beach among lush tropical gardens. This bure have only one bedroom but still include a comfortable sitting area and veranda. Due to its situation at the resort, not directly on water’s edge, lower nightly rates are offered but rest assured that all the extras are included that make Lalati so special.
Electrical power is 110 volt US type and power converters and adapter plugs are available.
In order to ensure our intimate and romantic atmosphere, our minimum age for guests is 14 years old. Exception made when booking the entire resort.
So come and mesmerise yourself by gazing at the moon or its reflection from the veranda, over the calm, sparkling waters of Malumu Bay.
Fiji and South Pacific culture go hand in hand. Come and experience the warm, friendly Fijian people. English is widely spoken here but you will of course hear Fijian spoken. Since it is a multi-cultural country, don’t be surprised if you happen to hear Hindi as well.
The most common Fijian word you hear will be Bula (pronounced as "Boo-lah") This is the Fijian way of saying 'Hello'.
Beqa (pronounced “Benga”) is the ancestral home of Fiji Islands’ fierce and famous Fire Walkers. The mystic gift of walking barefoot on hot rocks and coming out unscathed is a legend that your host Sisa will explain as you take a cocktail cruise down Malumu Bay to the firewalking beach.
Gathering with the local villagers around the carved wooden bowl, sharing their kava, listening to the music and telling stories, is what our Kava Sessions are all about. A good time is had by all.
Meke ---- Fiji Islanders are also very spirited about their music and dance, so come and watch the local young people in their traditional Fijian event of singing and dance.
With food cooked in an underground hot rock oven, our Lovo nights are a taste of a typical Fijian feast. Starting with Koconda and finishing with homemade coconut ice- cream (not exactly a Fijian tradition) the middle is filled with pork, fish, chicken, polysomo, dolo, vundi, and a stuffed pumpkin that will have you calling for seconds.
Supporting sustainability on remote Beqa Island is what Lalati Resort strives for and the remuneration by the resort for the cultural events helps support the local villages and to keep the Fijian culture alive.
Visiting Lalati will be nothing short of a true Fijian cultural experience. Call 1 800 330 8820 or 1 415 446 5252 to begin planning your Fiji vacation, or use our vacation planner and be connected to one of our Fiji vacation specialists.
