Nukubati is a privately owned island situated in a coral bay one kilometer off the northern coast of Vanua Levu. This laid-back luxury retreat is in the style of colonial plantation living, nestled among palms on the western beach of the island. The resort accommodates a maximum of 12 guests in four bungalows and two bures. Accommodations are light and airy with an abundance of louvered windows. Each has an enclosed private rear patio and a large front verandah with extensive views. Nukubati Island Accommodation
Nukubati has four spacious beachside bungalow suites and three deluxe honeymoon bures.
The rooms are louvred, light and airy, with ceiling fans and are decorated in a style reminiscent of Fiji's gracious colonial past. The rattan furniture is custom made to the traditional designs of the old plantation days.
Nukubati Island Dining
Seafood is our speciality, freshly caught off the resort, with tropical fruits and vegetables from our own gardens. Cooking style is Fijian, featuring traditional South Pacific recipes using all local ingredients, herbs and spices. However individual dietary requirements, such as vegetarian or no seafood meals are catered for.
All meals, morning and afternoon teas, and beverages (including wines and other alcoholic drinks) are complimentary. Meals can be taken in the Pavilion, on the beach, in your room or at any other romantic spot on the island you wish. Meal times are flexible.
Nukubati has an extensive wine cellar stocking premium Australian, New Zealand and French wines and champagnes. There are two bars, one in the Pavilion and the other on the front lawn, and a bar service to all parts of the island!

Nukubati Island Scuba
This is Nukubati's premier activity. Just a half hour boat ride takes you to the Great Sea Reef. Nukubati Island is the only resort in Fiji with access to this vast underwater treasure. Remote, pristine and untouched, this enormous reef with miles of hard and soft corals is being explored by guests of Nukubati Island. Manta rays, turtles, dolphins and whales parade among uncountable numbers of fish, with a myriad of nudibranchs, gastropods, and crustaceans displaying around the corals.
Nukubati is renowned for first class service and that service extends to the diving. Each couple or dive group have their own boat and dive guide. All dive gear is provided by the resort and is top of the range Apollo brand with both metric and imperial dive computers. You plan your dive with your dive guide for maximum enjoyment and if you find a new site with that "something special", the naming rights are yours !!!

Sport fishing - Charter one of our two fully equipped sport fishing boats and go outside the Great Sea Reef for the really big ones !!
Salt water fly fishing - Whether you stand on the beach or take the punt and cast around the mangroves, you are sure to enjoy this increasingly popular style of fishing. Bring your own lures or select from Nukubati's proven range.
Or just plain hand lining over the small inner reefs - serene, tranquil and very rewarding.
Nukubati Island Snorkeling
You don't have to be a scuba diver to enjoy the delights of the Great Sea Reef. In fact you will probably see more reef life just snorkeling.
The corals are within arm's reach of the surface and you can feel and touch a vast array of undersea life without even making the shallowest of dives.
Sailing
Take one of our 14ft catamarans and have a leisurely sail in the morning calm or an exhilarating sail on the afternoon breeze.
If you can't sail, one of our staff will take you out and show you the ropes.
When the wind does pick up and you are feeling adventurous, there are the windsurfers.
But just remember; next stop after Nukubati is the Hawaiian Islands, somewhere northwards!

PICNIC We prepare a delicious basket for your escape to a nearby deserted island to be truly alone with your partner.
WALKS Around the island and up the hill, or for longer hikes go to the mainland and follow the ancient paths through the rainforests.
READ Nukubati's library of over three thousand titles specializes in Fijian and Pacific history and nature. Part of the library has a paperback exchange where you can swap your travel read for one of ours.
MASSAGE The skills of traditional Fijian massage have been passed down over centuries. This is one experience not to be missed on Nukubati.
