The 28 charming villas dotted along the northwestern beach are all within easy walking distance to the central complex. Each villa is specially placed to take full advantage of the magnificent views.

The villas offer solitude and comfort in splendid natural surroundings. There are three types of villa available - Twin Villa, Queen Villa (Beachfront or Hillside), or Royal Deluxe Villa with two separate bedrooms.

Each villa has a spacious 60 sqm (640 sqft) area for you to enjoy featuring enclosed lanai, separate living area, private bedroom, dressing area and full Jacuzzi with separate shower and an amazing view through the lush tropical gardens to the beach.

Tropical furnishings and richly polished hardwood floors contribute to an atmosphere of comfort and relaxation. Privacy is guaranteed when you stay in one of these luxurious villas each with their own personal facilities.

Spacious and uncomplicated, the interiors are perfectly suited to the barefoot lifestyle and to the local climate. The villas are divided into areas for sitting, lounging, reading and sleeping, with a large area devoted to bathing.

Open plan living is encouraged but clever use of mobile walls allows freedom to divide the interior spaces. Luxury and quality are innovatively combined to offer uncluttered space.

Every day fresh hibiscus and frangipani flowers are picked and delicately placed around your room. These small considerations are typical of the refinements that define the Vomo experience.

The villas include quiet air conditioning & ceiling fans to keep you cool on those hot Fijian nights, fresh fruit, tea and coffee-making facilities, refrigerator, bathrobes, hair-dryers, telephone, in-house laundry service and facsimile service.

The bathrooms, containing spa baths, can only be described as sheer luxury. Contemporary design is juxtaposed with traditional Fijian forms.

Additional appointments for guest comfort and safety include automatic fire sprinkler system, 3 IDD telephone units, variable lighting system, and unlimited fresh potable water.

Vomo Island Resort is well recognised for its food, ranging from Californian to Thai, Japanese, Australasian and Indian - in fact, any style that suits our glorious tropical climate and laid-back lifestyle.

Fresh ingredients are flown in daily from Australia and New Zealand. Naturally there is an emphasis on seafood.

There are ample opportunities to sample the contents of our first class cellar, including unlimited French champagne and the best of New Zealand and Australian wines. If you love food and wine - then this is the place to be!
In the welcoming warm weather, evening meals are taken in our large central pavilion or terrace outside overlooking the pool and beachfront.

On selected evenings, tables are set under the stars at The Rocks restaurant overlooking Vomo Lailai, where you can watch the sun setting. Under a full moon, the 'dining room' can be set by the water's edge.

However, don't imagine that we ignore that special occasion or the chance to have a romantic dinner for two. There are many options for private dinners on the beach with moon and candlelight.

The commitment to quality continues with the food. The award-winning chef at Vomo, Mr. Richard Cross, has worked at both Millbrook Resort and Huka Lodge, two of the finest destinations in New Zealand (a worthwhile recommendation given New Zealand's reputation for food).

The menu offers variations every day, displaying a variety of haute cuisine. Many visitors who frequent Fiji on a regular basis will assure you that Vomo offers some of the most delectable food in the South Pacific.

A full range of recreational and demonstration activities are available without charge including an outdoor fresh-water swimming pool, tennis, paddle-boards, 9-Hole 3 par pitch and putt golf, windsurfing, jogging (par course event), sailing, volleyball, snorkelling, badminton, petanque, croquet, boardgames and floral Garden Tours.

Vomo has some ideal stretches for the keen kayaker as the calm and shallow waters offer a great place for any level. Good high country and coastal tracks await the outdoor enthusiast: worthy of a visit is the track to the top of the mountain for one of the most spectacular 360 degrees views ever to be seen!

Taking part in one of the Traditional Kava Ceremonies is yet another of Vomo's unforgettable experiences on offer or sit back and watch the locals demonstrate their art of coconut weaving, coconut tree climbing and flower stringing (leis).

For the more adventurous, other activities can be arranged by our staff such as sunset cruises, helicopter sightseeing tours, deep sea game fishing (4 hours Half Day or 8 hours Full Day), outer island visits, handline fishing and a variety of scuba diving options (recreational dives, introductory dives, night dives, open water dive course & advanced courses).

The quality of the scuba-diving sites in Fiji has been one of the South Pacific's well-kept secrets for many years, and only recently has it been revealed as one of the premier dive destinations. Underwater visibility ranges from above average to excellent and there are few currents.

The islands are surrounded by deep water with large 'drop-offs', offering numerous dive sites. There are no better circumstances to take your first steps into the exhilarating world beneath the sea.

A world full of colourful coral reefs offering technicolour underwater panorama that is hard to beat, whether you are an amateur snorkeller or a diving enthusiast.

Apart from the cuisine, the truly spectacular location and the warm temperatures, Vomo is also renowned as a spa. The Senikai Spa is a place for rest, tranquillity and rejuvenation.

Designed to provide the finest health and body experience, the spa features an array of therapeutic treatments. The clinic only uses leading-edge products containing plant extracts and essential oils of the highest quality, and employs techniques to take clients far beyond the average spa experience. 'Senikai' is the Fijian word for flower. Since ancient times 'Maramas' of the villages of Fiji have beautified and healed themselves with the aromatic flora of the Pacific. The Senikai Spa uses tropical essences which are formulated with great care to rejuvenate your body and mind.

An entirely separate bure has been purpose-built for the spa, set in the lush gardens and winding trails that provide the perfect complement to the Senikai commitment. The treatments on offer, normally administered after a detailed individual assessment, include 3 different treatments for the face, ten for the body and a further seven options for couples in love or relaxing treatment packages lasting the course of three days. From an indulging Ulumu Face & Scalp Treatment experience to a stress-relieving Senikau Aromatherapy Body Massage, all our treatments nurture the body and relax the mind.

The most important ingredient of a marriage apart from a willing couple, is the marriage licence, which is issued to couples attending in person at the Registrar Office in Nadi, from Monday to Friday only.

Depending upon Fijian flight arrival times, you may need to spend a night on the mainland. A chauffeured limousine will transport you and your partner to and from Nadi to complete licence formalities.

You will need to provide original copies of your Birth Certificate and your passports. If either partner has been married before, either a Decree Absolute or Death Certificate is required. If either person is under the age of 21, his or her parent must be present to sign a consent form witnessed by the Registrar.

Weddings may be held on any day of the week and staff members from Vomo Island Resort will happily attend the wedding and sign your Marriage Certificate as Witnesses if required.

Couples can reserve a beach for the day on a private tropical island and enjoy a romantic picnic with exquisite food and French champagne. The package includes complimentary transfers and a radio telephone will be provided for guests needing assistance or more supplies on the Island.

The Resort only caters for a couple at any one given time on Vomo Lailai so bookings are essential (maximum two bookings per day). Families can also go with children for a unique family picnic.
