Tour Itinerary
Day 1 Arrive Paris and transfer to your upscale
Parisian hotel. Settle in, rest and get ready for the beginning of your day. Your afternoon excursion starts with a “Get Acquainted with the city” tour and an overview of the city’s layout, orientation and history. There is so much to see with sights to consider like: Champs Elysees, Arc d Triumph, Trocadero, Eiffel Tower, Invalides, and the Latin Quarter.
Day 2 Your day starts early for an exquisite trip to
Versailles and Giverny. Your morning will include the Versailles Castle, home of the sumptuous luxury of the Sun King, Louis XIV. You may decide to lunch at a French brasserie before you continue to Giverny for a visit of the Monet Homes and Gardens. Back to Paris for an evening on the Siene river for a dinning experience aboard a riverboat. Paris by night is a splendid experience.
Day 3
The Louvre is home to over 400,000 works of art including the “Mona Lisa”. The Louvre is the largest museums of Western European art. This magnificent palace is a highlight of Paris and not to be missed. Your afternoon is free to do as you wish. Enjoy a nice lunch or shop at one of the many boutiques. This evening, be sure to dress in your finest attire. Your guide is hosting a night at the “Moulin Rouge.”
Day 4
All Aboard! Your first class rail ticket is awaiting your arrival to the famous French wine region of Bordeaux. Upon you arrival into Bordeaux, your day continues with a wonderful wine lunch at Le Café du Musee, located in a museum for contemporary arts. Your afternoon continues with a city tour of Bordeaux that dates back to the 12th century. See cathedrals, the Royal Square, and the Grand Theatre, which is also home of the Bordeaux opera. Then on to Saint Emilion, where you will spend the rest of the day tasting exquisite Bordeaux wines, including a wine education class at a noted winery. The day concludes with a special wine country Chateau dinner for an unforgettable culinary delight!
Day 5
Today is a full day of wine tasting. Yourwine adventure begins at the Medoc Vineyard, located between Bordeaux and Pauillac. You will taste wines from the amazing villages of Moulis, Listrac, Margaux, and Pauillac. While you are visiting the famous Chateaux of Saint Julien, you will be treated to a scrumptious winery lunch set among the winery’s beautiful vineyards with more world-class wine tasting in the afternoon.
Day 6
Today you make your way to the wine region of the Garon River. You will tour the tiny city of Cadillac where you will visit the 16th century castle of “Duc d’ Epernon.” And the medieval fortified town of Saint Macaire and the small village of Sauternes. Enjoy a terrace lunch with a vineyard view at “Le Saprien, while sipping some of France’s finest Grand Cru wines. Two afternoon wine testing’s will be scheduled in route to your hotel.
Day 7
Bordeaux says “So Long” as you transfer to the Bordeaux Train station, for your trip to Paris and flight to the United States. We look forward to seeing you on your next world class wine tasting excursion.
