Le Meurice Hotel Restaurants & Bars

This luxury hotel offers travellers and Parisians a wonderful choice of memorable moments. With his head in the stars, Chef Yannick Alléno has crafted le Meurice's and the Jardin d’Hiver’s menus according to his own distinctive style of refined, harmonious and healthy cuisine. Surrounded by his friendly team, he transforms every meal into an extraordinary experience whether it is in the sumptuous Restaurant ‘le Meurice’, overlooking the Tuileries Garden or the Jardin d'Hiver, filled with exotic flowers blooming under a stunning Art Nouveau glass roof. With deep leather armchairs and dark woodwork, the intimate Bar Fontainebleau is an ideal setting for sipping cocktails and socialising
Restaurant le Meurice
A showpiece filled with ornate gilding, Louis XVI period crystal chandeliers, antique bevelled mirrors and large bay windows framed in rare marbles, the three Michelin star Restaurant ‘le Meurice’ recreates the lustrous effects of this period's architectural detailing. Landscape paintings on the wall and a ceiling depicting a blue sky with angels create an uplifting, open feeling. The floral-infused decor echoes the Tuileries Garden, with chairs and curtains in floral patterns of yellow, salmon and green. The china, specially created by Limoges for Le Meurice, matches the mosaic patterns on the floor. Against such a background, guests feel as if they have been invited to a private dinner hosted by Louis XV. The lavish atmosphere is further enhanced by the exquisite treats offered at ‘le Meurice’, including a chariot of confitures at breakfast and the superb after-dinner mignardises created by Pastry Chef, Camille Lesecq.
Le Jardin d'Hiver
A gorgeous, century-old Art Nouveau glass roof sits above the hotel's dazzling Jardin d'Hiver, casting a brilliant light over the beautifully detailed 19th-century-style tables and chairs. The Jardin d'Hiver is more casual than ‘le Meurice’ and serves full meals as well as afternoon tea. Jazz musicians entertain daily from 7:00 pm to midnight. The Jardin d’Hiver's china was designed to reflect this atmosphere of an enchanted garden, and has been specially created by French designer Isabelle Cros and produced by Philippe Deshoulières. The Jardin d'Hiver offers classic English afternoon tea, complete with finger sandwiches, traditional scones served with clotted cream, cakes, French pâtisseries and a wide selection of teas, hot chocolates and coffees. The Jardin d'Hiver serves an amazingly indulgent dessert that is to die for! It combines caramel ice cream, cut into portions at the table and served with caramel sauce, almonds, hazelnuts, vanilla cream and cherries. Originally created for the summer season only, it was added as a signature dessert due to its immense popularity and can now be enjoyed at any time of year.

Pets

Hotel personnel then adopted the dog, and it soon became the mascot and inspiration for the Meurice’s emblem today – a pair of Greyhounds. Also, when Salvador Dali one of the Meurice’s regular guests, checked out, the hotel staff had to completely repaint the Suite Royale because his two tame ocelots particularly loved the carpets!
