Hotel Du Castellet General Information:

Housed within the walls of a former glass factory built some 30 years ago, this new hotel can now be counted on for its combination of originality, charm and elegance. The 4-star luxury Hotel du Castellet has opened its doors in the spring of 2002. It is situated on the Plateau du Castellet, opposite the new Castellet Airport and the Paul Ricard High Tech Test Track.

Hotel du Castellet is 2 hours from Monaco; 1 hour from St. Tropez, Nice and Cannes; and a 40-minute drive from Marseille.

23 rooms and suites are south-facing, located on two floors of the main bastide of the Hotel du Castellet while 24 other rooms are located in the attenant villas. Each one boasts a private terrace with wrought iron table and chair and most of them are overlooking the grounds and the Bay of La Ciotat. The rooms, against the backdrop of a magnificent setting that abounds with delicate and refined touches, are decorated in the Provencal style, accentuating the feeling of restfulness. Each room is equipped with an individual heating and a/c system, a TV that broadcasts the major national and international channels, a DVD player, telephone, fax and modem connection, mini-bar, safety deposit box and marble bathrooms with bathtub and shower.

The Hotel du Castellet bar basks in a warm and friendly atmosphere thanks to the inviting glow of the fireplace and to piano music. With direct access to the terrace and outdoor swimming pool, guests can choose between a cozy hearthside ambiance and relaxing in the sun. The French cuisine served in the Gastronomic Restaurant is bursting with local flavours - a veritable festival of Provencal colors and fragrances! A cellar within the walls of the restaurant offers a wide range of wines from all over France. The Bandol wines take price of place.

The Fitness Centre features a large number of muscle-building and weight machines as well as a steam bath, beauty salon and massage parlour. The indoor swimming pool is heated and fronted by a veranda, making it possible to enjoy the sun in the summer and winter. The outdoor pool blends seamlessly and naturally into the gardens in shades of deep blue and sea green. Four holes for golfers, two tennis courts, a jogging circuit and a stunt-bike circuit complete the hotel's range of leisure facilities.
