Maison Pic Hotel, France Vacations, Honeymoons and Travel Packages

Not far from Lyon and Marseille, half-way between the mountains and the sea, you will find Valence, a dynamic city in one of France's loveliest rural regions. And in Valence, you will discover a very special island of calm: Restaurant Pic, which over the past sixty years has earned a reputation as a shrine of French cuisine. Curnonsky, "the prince of gastronomes," said early on "there are three creators of modern cuisine: Escoffier, Pic, Point." And it was certainly no accident that the three men were friends.
Granddaughter of André¬ daughter of Jacques, Anne-Sophie Pic upholds tradition with flair, revealing the true nature of products. Enjoy the cuisine of this innovative hundred-year-old restaurant. The chef?s husband David warmly welcomes guests, suggesting vintages from the fine cellar.
To add to and complete the prestige of the restaurant, it seemed only natural to open a very special hotel. Anne and David worked to accomplish this family project, under the watchful and loving eye of Suzanne Pic. In the spring of 1997, the H? Pic, a member of the prestigious Relais & Châteaux group, opened. This charming, 10-room addition to the original hotel is built and decorated in Proven硬 style and brings the capacity to 15 rooms.
The ceilings on the ground floor are vaulted, giving this space harmony and light, a touch of Provence. Hotel reception, along with vast salons, the breakfast area, and a bar are located here. The soft, beige patina of the walls, combined with marble floors, a comfortable mix of antique and modern furnishings, and a general atmosphere of calm, quiet elegance encourages one to linger, to relax.
The 10 new rooms and suites are upstairs, on the first floor. They are luxuriously comfortable, each individually decorated, and open onto a fragrant, flowered patio. All is beautiful, calm, and serene.
