The Chateau de Noirieux is a superbly restored chateau and manor-house situated in extensive parkland with views over the valley of the River Loir. The Chateau is a one hour drive from Nantes Airport, and three hours drive from Paris.
Noirieux has never been ostentatious ? a country house rather than stately home. The service is attentive and thoughtful, friendly but never intrusive. The buildings of this 4 star Relais & Cheateaux member consist of a manor house dating from the 15th Century, now converted into spacious and very comfortable bedrooms, and the chateau itself, dating from the 17th Century, refurbished in the 1920s and again in the last couple of years, housing the public areas and several bedrooms. There are only 19 bedrooms in total divided between the manor house and the chateau.
From the ovens where G鲡rd C?and his team are cooking, rises the delicious smell of real country food, food that never cloys because it is based on the natural, flavoursome produce from the local area. It changes with the rhythm of the seasons, and is elegantly served either in the Orangery room, the adjoining Victorian-style conservatory, or in summer on the terrace looking out over green fields gently sloping down to the river Loir.
