Set just outside Europe’s capital antique market town, L’Isle sur la Sorgue, this authentic Provenal mas is set in enclosed grounds with sunflower fields to the front and a wild flower prairie to the rear. At the foot of the garden runs a tributary of the river Sorgue. Beamed ceilings in the kitchen, along with tiled floors and under floor heating, lend a country feel to this charming property. The house is well equipped with a host of facilities including Broadband Internet access and an iPod music system with outdoor speakers, ensuring comfortable holiday living. The décor, much influenced by the owners’ own travels, particularly in North Africa, lends a calming ambience to the interior as do the Moroccan-style seating areas around the pool and on the terrace. Outdoors, the 18m fenced swimming pool and pool house are surrounded by expansive grounds, largely laid to lawn, providing plenty of sunny spots for the sun worshippers and shady areas for a long lunch.
