Fine chartreuse-style chteau for family and friends Set high on the a hill overlooking a tranquil valley in the southern, Quercy region of France, Chteau de Miramont has been this family's vacation home for generations and offers excellent comfort, service and amenities. Its two levels are long and narrow to take maximum advantage of daylight. On the courtyard entrance level are three bedrooms and the main sitting room (with an ornate carved wood bookcase and fireplace.) A suite in the left wing suits a family. A grand staircase leads down to the dining room, a den and an additional bedroom, all with barrel-vaulted stone ceilings. The kitchen is large, modernized and well equipped. Outdoors, the house is flanked by gardens and wrap-around terraces, which offer a variety of al fresco dining options. There are even pick-your-own fig trees. Nearby there is a variety of rural villages, most with services such as bakery, general store and country restaurants. Beds & Baths Sleeps up to 10 adults and one child in 6 bedrooms.
