Set just outside Europe's capital antique market town, Isle sur la Sorgue, Le Platane is an authentic Provençal mas set in enclosed grounds with sunflower fields to the front and a wild flower prairie to the rear. At the foot of the garden runs a tributary of the river Sorgue, which, by canoe, makes a pleasant twenty minute trip into the town. Beamed ceilings in the kitchen, along with tiled floors and a marble sink lend a country feel to this otherwise fully modernized property. The two Master bedrooms both have king-size beds and en suite bathrooms, while the additional three bedrooms, all twin rooms, make this an ideal property either for one large family or two families travelling together. Outdoors, the swimming pool and pool house is fully enclosed with child-locks on the gates, and surrounded by expansive grounds, largely laid to lawn, providing plenty of sunny spots for sun worshippers and shady areas ideal for a long lunch.
