Travelers enjoy unforgettable views of so many of Switzerland’s highlights as they relax aboard panoramic trains on a route that includes the first scenic train route in the world between Montreux and Zweismmen. Day 1 – Arrive Lucerne:
Start your GoldenPass Experience by traveling with your Swiss rail transfer ticket from airport or rail station in Switzerland to Lucerne. (Accommodation, Lucerne.)

Day 2 – Lucerne:
You have today at leisure. To enjoy one of the two optional excursions or add a Lucerne Card for exploring the city on your own. (Breakfast, accommodation, Lucerne.)

Optional Mt Pilatus Tour from Lucerne Start with a short bus journey to Kriens then a ride on a panoramic gondolas – aerial cableway to Mount Pilatus (7000 ft) for an unforgettable view of the surrounding mountains and lakes. Then you descend on the world’s steepest cogwheel railway (48% gradient) to Alpnachstad for a boat-ride on Lake Lucerne with an optional summer toboggan run in Switzerland, 4500 ft (1.4 km). (Departs from Tourist Office, Lucerne. Show voucher to travel.)

Optional Mt Titlis Tour from Lucerne Bus ride to Engelberg, where the breathtaking journey on the revolving cable car ROTAIR. At the top, at (10,000 ft.). Atop Mt. Titlis are restaurants, a sun terrace and the ice grotto or your can go by IceFlyer (on own) to get very close to the crevasses. Your return to Lucerne is by motorcoach. Day 3 – Lucerne to Interlaken by Golden Pass scenic train:
Travel from Lucerne to Interlaken on a world-famous Golden Pass Panoramic train. (Breakfast, Lucerne; accommodation, Interlaken.)

Day 4 – Interlaken:
Today you have an included excursion to Jungfraujoch (yung-frau-yach) ~ known world-wide as the Top of Europe,. The Jungfraujoch is a saddle between the Mönch and the Jungfrau in the Bernese Alps in the Jungfrau-Aletsch Protected Area. The Jungfraujoch is the lowest point on the mountain ridge between Munch and Jungfrau and site of the Jungfraujoch rail station, at 11,332 feet making this the highest rail station in Europe (Breakfast, accommodation, Interlaken)

Included Jungfraujock Excursion:
Arrive on your own at the Interlaken rail station then board a unique, modern cogwheel railway to
Kleine Scheidegg at 6,762 feet. From there, the Jungfrau railway climbs to the Eiger Glacier station, well known for its mountain restaurant and polar dog kennels. Then continue through the Eiger tunnel stopping to enjoy spectacular vistas on the way to the highest railway station in
Europe. The Jungfraujoch, over 11,000 feet up, and called the Top of Europe, with what must be Switzerland,™s most breathtaking scenery including a 13.6 mile ice stream and an Ice Palace. (Present voucher at Interlaken Ost rail station.)

Day 5 – Interlaken to Montreux by Golden Pass scenic train:
Today you travel from Interlaken along a route that includes the tracks of the oldest dedicated scenic train in Europe between Montreux and Zweismmen. (Breakfast, Interlaken; Accommodation, Montreux.)

Day 6 – Depart Montreux:
Use your Swiss rail transfer ticket for your transportation to any to Swiss airport or border, ready for your next Avanti destination. (Breakfast, Montreux)

Optional Chocolate Train excursion: Add a day in Montreux for a chocolate or cheese lovers delight in vintage 1915 “Belle Epoque” Pullman cars to Gruyres, home of Gruyres cheese. After a visit and tour, you continue Broc, home of the Cailler-Nestles chocolate factory for a tour and samples of every type of chocolate imaginable.
