Black Rock -- Ka'anapali Beach

This beach is ideal for those ranging from beginning snorkelers and swimmers to experienced SCUBA divers. Coral, as well as tropical fish, is abundant here. It is also known as a fabulous location for turtle viewing!
D.T. Fleming Beach Park -- Kapalua
This lovely beach was named "America's Best Beach" in 2006. It has been a long-time favorite destination for both body and board surfing. Swimming is great here as well. This public park also includes facilities such as picnic tables and restrooms. A lifeguard is on duty.
Kapalua Beach -- Kapalua Resort

Known to Maui veterans as Old Fleming Beach, Kapalua is the very first of Maui's beaches, and the first beach to be named "America's Best Beach" (1991). Kapalua is a truly beautiful tropical beach which offering swimming, snorkeling and SCUBA diving.
Launiupoko Beach Park -- South of Lahaina Another local favorite with a unique natural pool surrounded by a lava rock wall. Excellent for small children; picnic tables and restrooms.
Napili Bay -- South of Kapalua Napili Bay is noted for its sandy beaches and good swimming. An excellent snorkeling spot for novice and expert ocean adventurers.
Puamana Beach County Park – Lahaina This beach provides swimming, picnic tables, restrooms, grills and a grassy park. Waves are excellent for beginning and intermediate surfers.
Wahikuli State Park – Lahaina Another local favorite with calm water conditions for swimming, snorkeling and boogie boarding. Restrooms, picnic tables and grills are available.
South Maui Beaches
Kama 'ole Beach Parks I, II, III- Kihei

At each of the Kama'ole Beach Parks, one will find ample parking, lifeguards, volleyball courts and excellent swimming conditions that all combine to make the Kamaole Parks favorites of Maui locals.
Keawakapu Beach – Kihei Classic views and varied conditions make this beach unique. To the delight of beachcombers, this beach is a half mile walk to the Wailea Resort.
Kihei Beach – Kihei

Composed of a series of beaches, splendid coves and tidepools, along with over six-miles Kihei coastline, this beach offers vacationers plenty of options. In addition, some of these beach areas offer lifeguards, restrooms, and picnic facilities.
Mai Poina ‘Oe Ia‘u Beach Park – Kihei Here, one finds excellent conditions for swimming, kite-surfing, and windsurfing. Facilities here include picnic tables, showers and restrooms. During the winter, whale sightings are almost guaranteed from this beach's vantage points.
Makena Beach State Park – Makena

Adjacent to the fantastic Maui Prince Hotel, this beach offers wonderful swimming and snorkeling. Green sea turtles are abundant here as well!
Mokapu Beach Park – Wailea Excellent swimming and snorkeling can be found at Mokapu Beach Park. In addition, equipment rentals for water sports are available in front of the Renaissance Wailea Beach Resort.
Polo Beach --Wailea

Fantastic swimming and snorkeling can be experienced at this beach. Also, water sports equipment rentals are available in front of the Renaissance Wailea Beach Resort.
Ulua Beach Park -- Wailea

Ullua Beach Park is another favorite among the locals, offering excellent swimming, snorkeling and beachcombing. Early risers will see that morning walkers and joggers abound. (Sunset as well.)
Central Maui Beaches
Kanaha Beach Park – Kahului

Famous throughout the world over for its fabulous windsurfing conditions, Kanaha also provides great swimming and diving. Situated close to town, Kanaha beach is popular for lunch, as well as local volleyball enthusiasts. Kanaha provides lifeguards, restrooms, showers and picnic tables.
East Maui Beaches
Waihe‘e Beach -- Waihe‘e This beach is very narrow and relatively crowd free. It is eastern facing and is a popular surfing spot.
H. A. Baldwin Beach Park – Paia

This beach is picture-perfect, with excellent swimming and bodysurfing, as well as a "baby beach" with a lagoon. Lifeguards, restrooms and picnic facilities are here.
Ho‘okipa Beach Park -- Pa‘ia
 This beach is a world-famous venue for professional windsurfers and board surfers. Many contests are held at here at Ho'okipa. Winter surf can be massive, with excellent and safe viewing and photography opportunities. Picnic tables and restrooms are available.
Hamoa Beach – Hana This beach was called by author, James Michener the most beautiful in the Pacific. Awarded as one of ten of "America's Best Beaches" in 2006. Here, one finds outstanding swimming and bodysurfing on this family friendly beach. Showers and limited facilities are here as well.
Hana Beach Park – Hana
 Here one finds one the nicest swimming beaches on Maui. A favorite with local families, Hana Beach Park is not surprisingly one of the most popular. In addition, many local community events are held here.
Red Sand Beach – Hana A truly "secret beach" complete with volcanic red sand and offering good swimming and snorkeling. Free spirits love this beach, despite its challenging location --Red Sand Beach is not for the faint of heart!
Wai‘anapanapa State Park – Hana This beach offers excellent camping facilities, as well as cabins, which makes Wai‘anapanapa State Park one of Maui's best beaches. It overlooks a black-sand beach that good swimming, snorkeling and freshwater pools found in caves.
